High School/Junior High Bands

Marching Band

The Danville Marching Band, known as the "Blue Devil Band", is comprised of all 7-12th grade band students enrolled at Danville Local Schools.

The Blue Devil Band is a show-style marching band that incorporates exciting music, precise drill, and a number of drum cadences into an energizing and exciting experience for the students and audience members alike. The tradition of the Blue Devil Band is a staple in the Danville community and is an opportunity for every student at the Danville Local Schools to grow and learn in some of the most exciting ways!

Being a member of the Blue Devil Band family is an experience unlike any other. The band experiences teamwork, a sense of community, and a bond that can only come from a desire to perform and get better while honoring the deep-rooted traditions of our band.

Performance Opportunities

The Blue Devil Band is very active in our community and region where we perform many times throughout each year. We perform at every Danville football game, multiple basketball games, community parades and events, band festivals, and travels to Cedar Point to parade each August.

In recent years, the Blue Devil Band has participated in specialty performances at:

During the 2024 season, the Blue Devil Band will perform alongside the Ohio University Marching 110 at the annual Ohio University Band Day.

In March of 2025, the Blue Devil Band will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to share our exciting performance style and provide our students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience! This trip will include a weekend of sightseeing along with the Blue Devil Band giving a special performance at the Grand Ole Opry!

Concert Bands

Once Marching Season ends, the Junior High and High School Bands transition into "Concert Season". Since we believe in a high standard of musical excellence, both groups will play challenging music geared towards improving overall musicianship and technical ability on their instruments. Both bands will give multiple concerts, perform at various school assemblies, travel to Solo & Ensemble Contest, and more each year!
