Danielle
Our Lead Teacher, Director and Founder of Danielle's Swimming Academy. Danielle has a wealth of swim teaching experience, spanning almost 2 decades. She begun working in the Leisure Industry at 16, and has built up her knowledge and skill base since, working as a Swimming Teacher at Level 1 and Level 2, as a Swimming Co-Ordinator, and in a variety of other supplementary roles.
She has also worked extensively with SEN children at both mainstream and specialist schools, providing support and tailored plans to those with SEN.
She is expanding her knowledge by completing the Mermaid and Mono-fin course, and in the next few months her Parent and Baby Certification.
Danielle has taken the leap and is now solely running Danielle's Swimming Academy. She is the friendly and approachable face of the business and always happy to help and nurture, she goes above and beyond for her swimmers, taking a personal approach in their development. She continues to teach lessons 3 days a week, as it is simply something she loves!
Danielle teaches Tuesday daytime, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Sue
Sue has been an instructor for many years and has probably forgotten more than most instructors know. Sue loves to teach our higher stages and can break down strokes and develop skill technique like no other. That being said, Sue also runs our Parent and Baby classes, she can be heard singing nursery rhymes from the poolside on a Friday afternoon.
Sue has a direct approach to teaching and has perfected her lessons for swimmers to have the best chance at a competitive future.
Sue teaches Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Fiona
We have a family affair here at Danielle's Swimming Academy as Fiona and Sue are also sisters! Fiona likes to use all the equipment and play all the games, her lessons are full of life and her swimmers love her. Fiona teaches with a fun approach which has perfected over many years of teaching. Our younger swimmers really flourish with Fiona, she has a way of making each lesson seem like a play session rather than a lesson.
Fiona teaches on a Tuesday and Friday.
Tilly
TIlly is full of knowledge, energy and skill. She begun her career as a Level 1 Swim Assistant, to help her Mum, Sue (one of our other great teachers!).
Tilly quickly found that she had inherited her mum's passion for Swim Teaching, and developed further, obtaining her Level 2 Swim Teacher Qualification in September 2022.
Tilly loves working with all age groups, however has a special talent for working with nervous and anxious swimmers. She finds it extremely rewarding when her swimmers manage to achieve something that they never thought they could, no matter how small it may seem. She recognises that milestones and achievements come in all forms, and is happy to help swimmers individually to succeed. Since becoming a Level 2 Qualified Teacher, her love and enthusiasm for teaching has flourished, and she now teaches 4 evenings a week for Danielle's Swimming Academy.
Tilly teaches on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Beth
Beth is a newly qualified swimming instructor. She will be taking her own small lessons on a Thursday evening and covering lessons throughout the week.
Beth also works at a local SEN school and has lots of experience with additional needs too.
Megan
Megan has been a Level 2 Swimming Instructor for around 10 years. Megan will be teaching on a Saturday and a Sunday whilst she also completes her PGCE to become a Junior School teacher.
