Don't panic if our routine differs from yours at home - you will be surprised how quickly the children adapt to our timings. 

It is a good idea to set some bedtime and morning routines in advance to help your child prepare for the school day. A visual chart can sometimes help - perhaps design one together that works for you? A wipeboard with pictures or stickers is a great re-usuable option. Make sure you set aside some time before bed to hear about your child's day, cosy up and read a story in dimmer light (maybe even with a torch!) to set those night-time signals. Work through the chart every morning to tick off breakfast, getting dressed, brushing teeth and hair, shoes on, bag packed and a goodbye cuddle.
