School meals for reception are free.

For the first few weeks the children have lunch in their classrooms. The dining room is busy and noisy and we find it works best letting them settle into classroom life before introducing them to another part of the school. For these weeks the children will have a packed lunch made for them with a choice of cheese, ham or tuna. You are welcome to send in a packed lunch from home if you prefer. After a few weeks we will swtich to the full menu and use the dining room.

Our lunchtime menu runs on a 3 week rotation.

Our lunchtime assistants are well-rehearsed in helping our little ones accustomise to the lunchtime process. They are on hand to help with cutting up meals and encourage them to fill their tummies. We would really encourage you to let the childre try our school dinner menu - many parents are amazed at what their child will eat at school compared to their preferences at home. If children are not eating we will always let you know.

Packed Lunches

If you decide that packed lunch works best for your child please remember we are a healthy, nut-aware school. Fizzy drinks, hot food in flasks, chocolate and sweets are not permitted. 

Allergies

Please inform us of any allergies your child may have - food-related or otherwise - forms will be shared to collect this information. If circumstances change at any time, please email the school office.
