DanceSpace is a proud CO chapter for the National Honor Society of Dance Arts (NHSDA) a program of the National Dance Education Organization. At DanceSpace, we recognize the importance of supporting and encouraging our young artists to excel in their academic career in addition to their artistic one. We want to support all aspirations they may have and offer every opportunity that we can.
Our partnership with NDEO and the NHSDA will award our dedicated dancers an added credential to their resume, a chance to strive for more within their dance and academic life, and a more solidified sense of community.
Benefits of National Dance Honor Society include:
Recognition of artistic merit
Certificates at each level of induction
Opportunity to wear the gold honor pin and blue and white honor cord at graduation
Leadership opportunities within the chapter, assisting the Chapter Sponsor with record keeping, fundraising and event planning
National & State level scholarship and award opportunities
NHSDA offers two opportunites of membership. The Junior Chapter is for dancers in 6-8th grade, the Secondary Chapter is for dancers in 9-12th grade. Dancers in 11th and 12th grade are eligible to apply for awards and scholarships.
