DanceSpace is proud to serve as a Colorado Chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA), a program of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO).
At DanceSpace, we believe in nurturing the whole artist—supporting not only the growth of our dancers’ technical and creative skills, but also their academic achievements and personal aspirations. Through our partnership with NDEO and the NHSDA, we aim to provide our dedicated dancers with meaningful opportunities to grow, lead, and be recognized for their excellence both in and beyond the studio.
Benefits of NHSDA membership include:
Recognition of artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement
Certificates awarded at each level of induction
The honor of wearing the gold NHSDA pin and blue and white honor cord at graduation
Honor distinction for those who qualify
Leadership opportunities within the chapter, including roles in record keeping, fundraising, and event planning
Eligibility for state and national scholarships and award programs
Membership Opportunities
The NHSDA offers two levels of membership:
Junior Chapter – for dancers in grades 6–8
Secondary Chapter – for dancers in grades 9–12
Dancers in 11th and 12th grade are also eligible to apply for national awards and scholarships, recognizing their continued excellence and dedication in both dance and academics.
