Tryouts

What do I need to do before?

1. Read over the Student-Athlete/Parent Handbook with your parents, so that you both know what is expected of you as a participant on a CDS team. This can be found under the "Resources" tab at the top

2. You can access the "Team Registration & Forms" page for registration information and locate any forms you may need. All paperwork must be submitted through the athletic department. The coaches will not accept any paperwork the day of tryouts.

3. Please look over the "Practice & Game Schedules For Players" located above and make sure that you are willing to make that kind of time commitment to the team.

4. REGISTRATION FOR THIS TEAM IS CURRENTLY OPEN! 

What is the criteria for making one of the teams?

All players will be assessed on their technical/tactical abilities; court awareness; attitude; ability to motivate self/others; fitness; mental toughness and ability to work well with others/coach ability. All players must all hand in the necessary forms and fees within 1 week of making the team.

Do all players trying out make a team?

No, not all players trying out will make the team. However, we will be selecting about 10-12 girls and 10-12 boys for the team.
