Hello, Sanger Families!
We are so thrilled to welcome our Stallions back to campus this Tuesday, August 11th!
It was such a joy connecting with so many of our families at Sanger’s New Family Orientation and Meet the Teacher Night. Seeing our students and families back on campus filled the staff and I with such excitement for the year ahead!
A new school year brings so many opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and celebrate! Our staff is ready to create memorable learning experiences for our students, cheer them on, and celebrate alongside them every step of the way.
Here’s to what is sure to be a wonderful 2026–2027 school year! We can’t wait to get started!

¡Estamos muy emocionados de darles la bienvenida a nuestros Stallions de regreso al campus este martes, 11 de agosto!
Fue una gran alegría poder convivir y conectar con tantas de nuestras familias durante la Orientación para Familias Nuevas de Sanger y nuestra Noche de Conozca al Maestro. ¡Ver nuevamente a nuestros estudiantes y familias en el campus llenó al personal y a mí de muchísima emoción por todo lo que nos espera este año!
¡Un nuevo año escolar trae consigo muchísimas oportunidades para aprender, crecer, conectar y celebrar! Nuestro personal está listo para crear experiencias de aprendizaje inolvidables para nuestros estudiantes, animarlos y celebrar junto a ellos en cada paso del camino.
¡Brindamos por lo que, sin duda, será un maravilloso año escolar 2026–2027! ¡Estamos ansiosos por comenzar!

Happy 70th Birthday to Sanger Prep! This August marks 70 years of inspiring learners, building community, and creating a legacy of excellence. For seven decades, Sanger has been a place where students, families, and staff have come together to learn, grow, and thrive. Here's to 70 years—and the exciting future ahead!
Upcoming Event: Chalk the Walk
PK3-Kindergarten Day 1 Drop Off
Our PK3-Kinder team is excited to offer the opportunity for parents to walk their student to their classroom door on the first day of school! This will only be an option on Tuesday, August 11th. The hope is that this helps our littles and their families feel supported on such a special day in their educational journey!
Logistics: Doors open at 7:30am. Parents can park in second lane of drop off or farther down San Leandro Dr. (not oh Whittier Ave.). The entrance for PK3-Kinder will be through the playground entrance. Parents will be able to drop their student off at the classroom door and then exit. There will be signs for guidance and we will pass out maps/details at meet the teacher.

Nuestro equipo de PK3 a Kinder está muy emocionado de ofrecer a las familias la oportunidad de acompañar a su estudiante hasta la puerta de su salón de clases el primer día de clases. Esta oportunidad estará disponible únicamente el martes 11 de agosto. Esperamos que esto ayude a nuestros estudiantes más pequeños y a sus familias a sentirse acompañados y apoyados en un día tan especial al comenzar su trayectoria educativa.
Logística: Las puertas abrirán a las 7:30 a. m. Los padres podrán estacionarse en las calles aledañas o utilizar el segundo carril de la fila para dejar a los estudiantes. La entrada para los estudiantes de PK3 a Kinder será por la entrada del área de juegos. Los padres podrán acompañar a su estudiante hasta la puerta del salón de clases y luego deberán salir del edificio. Habrá letreros para orientar a las familias y distribuiremos mapas e información adicional durante el evento de Conozca al Maestro.

We are committed to ensuring that arrival and dismissal are safe and efficient. Please be mindful that there may be more congestion and traffic during the first few days. Our team will be reviewing systems and will be sending out feedback forms to help us get this right for families!

Middle School Note: There is no advisory first period. Students report to their 1st period on A-days and their 6th period on B-days.

There will be no parking on San Leandro in front of the campus prior to dismissal. This helps to keep the flow of traffic moving once dismissal begins. After meeting with our Sanger community with safety at the forefront, Whittiers Ave. will not be used for any kind of parking during dismissal. Thank you!
We will have a large staff/admin presence at dismissal. Please be mindful/respectful of the drop-off and pick-up zone for ALL grades. This keeps traffic moving and there will be staff directing our families. Thank you!
Car Tags and Sibling Tags: If you did not receive a sibling tag at Meet the Teacher, your student will recieve one day 1. If you did not receive a car tag at Meet the Teacher, you'll recieve one day 1. All students will recieve a color-coded/laminated car tag day 1.

Sibling Tags- We love our Sanger siblings!
-Middle students (6th-8th) with an elementary sibling receive an orange tag on their backpack to identify them for the staggered release.

Middle School Updates
We have exciting news for our 6th-8th grade students! Beginning this school year, all 6th-8th grade students who bring a cell phone to school will use a Yondr pouch to securely store their device during the school day.
Please review the attached letters linked here in Spanish and English for information about Yondr and how the pouches will be used.
Students who bring a cell phone to school will receive their Yondr pouch during their 6th period (B day) class on the first day of school. This new process will keep devices secure while allowing our students to stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn throughout the school day.

Reminder: The first day of school is a B Day! Students will report to their 6th period class.
Construction Update
Construction is officially underway at Sanger! Our first phase includes improvements to the front offices and auditorium—no classrooms are impacted.
We're excited for the fresh new look and the addition of a secure vestibule, which will enhance safety. Arrival and dismissal plans have been carefully designed with construction in mind.

Uniform Information 👕
Elementary: PK3 - 5th Grade
Tops: White or Navy blue - School logo is not required, but optional
Bottoms: Khaki and Navy blue pants, shorts, skirts and dresses allowed.
Middle School: 6th - 8th Grade
Tops: Shirt with the Sanger Logo is required - color is specific to each grade
- 6th grade: Light blue shirt w/ School logo
- 7th grade: Green w/ School logo
- 8th grade: Grey w/ School logoBottoms: Black pants or shorts and skort sold by Dallas East Sports.
All Grade levels:
Thursdays are college shirt days - Students may wear a shirt representing a college or university with uniform bottoms.
Fridays are spirit days - Students may wear a Sanger Spirit Shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
Last Friday of the Month is PTA Friday: Free Dress for All - Students may wear free dress
(must be school-appropriate, no ripped jeans, tank tops, Crocs, open-toed shoes, etc.)Hoodies are allowed - but hood may not be worn or hoodie will be taken up.
