Hello, Sanger Families!
It’s hard to believe we are already heading into Week 3! Our Stallions are growing more confident and comfortable each day. Arrival was one of my favorite parts of last week—hugs, high-fives, and smiles from our students brought so much joy and energy to our team!
It was also wonderful to see the learning and community-building happening across our campus—from Ms. Caleffi’s 5th grade scientists doing hands-on experiments to Ms. Yates’ 8th grade reading rockstars diving into stories together.
We are looking forward to another great week of learning!

¡Es difícil creer que ya estamos por comenzar la Semana 3! Nuestros Stallions se sienten cada día más seguros y cómodos. La llegada de los estudiantes fue una de mis partes favoritas de la semana pasada: ¡los abrazos, los saludos con la mano y las sonrisas de nuestros estudiantes llenaron a nuestro equipo de alegría y energía!
También fue maravilloso ver todo el aprendizaje y el sentido de comunidad que se está desarrollando en nuestro campus, desde los científicos de 5.º grado de la maestra Caleffi realizando experimentos prácticos hasta las estrellas de la lectura de 8.º grado de la maestra Yates sumergiéndose juntos en nuevas historias.

Construction Update
Construction is officially underway at Sanger! Our first phase includes improvements to the front offices and auditorium—no classrooms are impacted.
We're excited for the fresh new look and the addition of a secure vestibule, which will enhance safety. Arrival and dismissal plans have been carefully designed with construction in mind.
Thank you for your patience as we make these exciting improvements to our campus!
Update: We have wrapping around the construction drywall at our entrance point! It is such a refreshing welcoming look!
Helpful Reminders
Tardies are in motion! Reminder that 8:00am is the start of 1st/6th period. It is essential that students are in class on time and ready to start strong!
Item drop-offs in the main office (supplies, water bottles, etc.) close at 10am.
There is no outside lunch permitted on campus (example: Chick-fil-A deliveries... as delicious as those waffle fries are .... are not allowed).
Student sign-out pick-up closes at 2:30pm.
Celebrating Stallion Birthdays! 🎉
Parents we are excited to celebrate our students’ birthdays throughout the school year! 🎉 This year, we will be celebrating birthdays a little differently.
To help us keep celebrations consistent for all students: outside food, including birthday treats, will not be allowed for birthday celebrations at school. We kindly ask families not to send cupcakes, cakes, candy, snacks, or other food items.
We still want every student to feel special on their birthday! Students celebrating a birthday will:
🎤 Have their name announced during the morning announcements
🎂 Visit the office to receive a special birthday card
✏️ Receive a birthday pencil and sticker
👑 Receive a birthday crown to wear and enjoy their special day
We appreciate your understanding and support as we make birthdays special while keeping our celebrations consistent for everyone.

We are committed to ensuring that arrival and dismissal are safe and efficient. A feedback form on arrival/dissmisal is available to our families here for our team to review :) Thank you to those who have completed the form! It is still open this week and adjustments to come as we review and continue to meet with the community! For now, please continue with the system as outlined.

Middle School Note: There is no advisory first period. Students report to their 1st period on A-days and their 6th period on B-days.

Dismissal
There will be no parking on San Leandro in front of the campus prior to dismissal. This helps to keep the flow of traffic moving once dismissal begins. After meeting with our Sanger community with safety at the forefront, Whittiers Ave. will not be used for any kind of parking during dismissal. Thank you!
Please be mindful/respectful of the drop-off and pick-up zone for ALL grades. This keeps traffic moving and there will be staff directing our families.

Uniform Information 👕
Elementary: PK3 - 5th Grade
Tops: White or Navy blue - School logo is not required, but optional
Bottoms: Khaki and Navy blue pants, shorts, skirts and dresses allowed.
Middle School: 6th - 8th Grade
Tops: Shirt with the Sanger Logo is required - color is specific to each grade
- 6th grade: Light blue shirt w/ School logo
- 7th grade: Green w/ School logo
- 8th grade: Grey w/ School logoBottoms: Black pants or shorts and skort sold by Dallas East Sports.
All Grade levels:
Wednesdays are college shirt days - Students may wear a shirt representing a college or university with uniform bottoms.
Fridays are spirit days - Students may wear a Sanger Spirit Shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
Last Friday of the Month is PTA Friday: Free Dress for All - Students may wear free dress
(must be school-appropriate, no ripped jeans, tank tops, Crocs, open-toed shoes, etc.)Hoodies are allowed - but hood may not be worn or hoodie will be taken up.

🙌 Helping Hands Needed! We can always use extra helping hands to make Brighter Bites possible! If you are available, please stop by and join us. We usually begin bagging produce around 11:15 a.m. All are welcome to help, and we truly appreciate your support! More information coming soon.

Your PTA membership makes a direct difference for every student at our school. In past years, Dollar Days meant only students who brought $1 got to participate in free dress. This year, the PTA is covering that cost for the whole school — so every student gets to enjoy free dress, no matter what. Beyond what it funds, membership gives you a voice: members can vote on how PTA funds are spent and help shape the programs that shape your child's year at school. It's one of the easiest ways for a busy parent to make a real difference — no meetings required, though you're always welcome.
