We are looking forward to another great week together! A huge shoutout to our wonderful PTA for hosting a spectacular Back-to-School Bash this past weekend. It was such a joy to connect with our families—and even take a turn in the dunk tank!

¡Esperamos con entusiasmo otra gran semana juntos! Un enorme agradecimiento a nuestra maravillosa PTA por organizar una espectacular Fiesta de Regreso a Clases este fin de semana. Fue una gran alegría convivir con nuestras familias, ¡e incluso dejarme caer en el tanque de agua!

We are excited to celebrate Grandparents’ Day at Alex Sanger Preparatory School! Families can use the link below to review the information and let us know if their scholar’s grandparent(s) will be attending.
Helpful Reminders
Tardies are in motion! Reminder that 8:00am is the start of 1st/6th period. It is essential that students are in class on time and ready to start strong!
Item drop-offs in the main office (supplies, water bottles, etc.) close at 10am.
There is no outside lunch permitted on campus (example: Chick-fil-A deliveries... as delicious as those waffle fries are .... are not allowed).
Student sign-out pick-up closes at 2:30pm.
Celebrating Stallion Birthdays! 🎉
Parents we are excited to celebrate our students’ birthdays throughout the school year! 🎉 This year, we will be celebrating birthdays a little differently.
To help us keep celebrations consistent for all students: outside food, including birthday treats, will not be allowed for birthday celebrations at school. We kindly ask families not to send cupcakes, cakes, candy, snacks, or other food items.
We still want every student to feel special on their birthday! Students celebrating a birthday will:
🎤 Have their name announced during the morning announcements
🎂 Visit the office to receive a special birthday card
✏️ Receive a birthday pencil and sticker
👑 Receive a birthday crown to wear and enjoy their special day
We appreciate your understanding and support as we make birthdays special while keeping our celebrations consistent for everyone.

💚 Parent & Volunteer Opportunities
Parents and volunteers, we can’t wait to see you on campus! We appreciate your help with school activities, events, and chaperoning field trips. Your support makes such a difference for our students and staff!
Friendly reminder: All volunteers must complete a VOLY volunteer application before volunteering on campus or attending field trips as a chaperone.

Volunteers can be parents, grandparents, or community members, so if this opportunity sounds like a fit to someone you know, please help us spread the word! We'd love to support as many students as possible.
Volunteers must complete a background check each school year through DallasISD.Voly.Org, and for any volunteers working with students, they must attend an in-person training.
Currently those training dates are scheduled for September 1 and 3 at 9-9:30am, and more may be offered. (Please sign up even if you can't attend those specific training dates so we can find another time that works.)

Family Pick-Up: Families will pick up their Brighter Bites produce at the back door leading to the Little Gym. Signs will be posted to help direct you to the correct location. Dates of the distribution- September 1, September 15, September 29
🙌 Helping Hands Needed! We can always use extra helping hands to make Brighter Bites possible! If you are available, please stop by and join us. We usually begin bagging produce around 11:15 a.m. All are welcome to help, and we truly appreciate your support! More information coming soon.

Lace up your sneakers! This September, we are launching a month-long Walking Challenge to encourage everyone to stay active, get moving, and build healthy habits together.
The Challenge:
Goal: Walk at least 1 mile a day OR accumulate 30 miles total during the month of September.
Who Can Join: All staff and parents who are not currently members of EoS Fitness.
The Rewards:
Every Participant: Gets a 7-day free trial pass to EoS Fitness just for doing the challenge and participating! (Only people who hit the 30-mile goal)
Grand Prize Winner: One lucky participant will be drawn out of a hat at the end of the month to win 1 full month of free membership to EoS Fitness!
Email Coach P a picture of your results Oct-1st-5th and a winner will be drawn on Oct 5th.
Last year we tried to this with Eos and the GM changed his mind. This year there is a new GM and he said he has his word about helping us out.

Update: College Day is Wednesday now!
Uniform Information 👕
Elementary: PK3 - 5th Grade
Tops: White or Navy blue - School logo is not required, but optional
Bottoms: Khaki and Navy blue pants, shorts, skirts and dresses allowed.
Middle School: 6th - 8th Grade
Tops: Shirt with the Sanger Logo is required - color is specific to each grade
- 6th grade: Light blue shirt w/ School logo
- 7th grade: Green w/ School logo
- 8th grade: Grey w/ School logoBottoms: Black pants or shorts and skort sold by Dallas East Sports.
All Grade levels:
Wednesdays are college shirt days - Students may wear a shirt representing a college or university with uniform bottoms.
Fridays are spirit days - Students may wear a Sanger Spirit Shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms.
Last Friday of the Month is PTA Friday: Free Dress for All - Students may wear free dress
(must be school-appropriate, no ripped jeans, tank tops, Crocs, open-toed shoes, etc.)Hoodies are allowed - but hood may not be worn or hoodie will be taken up.

Show support for your favorite college by participating in National College Colors Day. Wear a college shirt or jersey and share pictures on social media. September 8–11 – Hello Week: A week dedicated to building connections, spreading kindness, and making sure everyone feels welcomed at Sanger.

September 14–18 – Education Go Get It Week: Celebrate future possibilities by encouraging students to explore college, careers, and educational opportunities beyond high school.
September 16 – District-Wide College Fair: Explore your future! Students and families can connect with college representatives, learn about admissions and programs, and discover opportunities for life after high school.

Your PTA membership makes a direct difference for every student at our school. In past years, Dollar Days meant only students who brought $1 got to participate in free dress. This year, the PTA is covering that cost for the whole school — so every student gets to enjoy free dress, no matter what. Beyond what it funds, membership gives you a voice: members can vote on how PTA funds are spent and help shape the programs that shape your child's year at school.
