Join us for our first organizational meeting in Room 112 at 6 p.m. on September 16 to learn about this incredible opportunity (and get to know more about the teacher leading your students abroad!). We're excited to tell you more about the trip we're planning with EF Tours, our educational partner. Please register for our info session to be considered for this upcoming travel opportunity.
In our session, we'll cover how this opportunity will benefit your child, what's included in the experience, how we'll keep the trip safe and affordable, and more. Plus, if we haven't met yet, it's a good chance to learn more about me as both an educator and a group leader. Registration for this session is required to help us organize the meeting, and a parent or guardian must attend. Can't make it? Choose "No, but send info" so you don't miss out.
Here’s the link again to register for the meeting or register your interest!
Why is the entry in the mornings taking longer? And what do students and parents need to do?
We have more strenuous security requirements this year, including bag and phone checks. To help student entry go more smoothly.
Students, please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier each day; too many students at once rigth at 9 am creates a clog in the funnel of the metal detectors.
Everyone must carry clear or mesh backpacks; they are free at school. Have them unzipped, and your phones out and visible.
Remind your students that no phones during the school day is a state law, and they must comply.
Many students are hiding their phones. They need to just put them away in their pouch. Handling all the hidden phones slows the line down.
Are there retakes for yearbook/ID Photos?
Yes, September 23rd and 24th. No retakes are available without signing up in advance HERE.
What events are planned for the 50th Anniversary this coming school year?
Each conservatory will host a signature event that all alumni are invited to. There is a web page here: https://sites.google.com/dallasisd.org/arts-magnet-50/home
The next event will be the Theater Conservatory Show Hamlet ESP, with an Alumni Reception, on October 23rd at the Montgomery Arts Theater. More info to follow.
Can we get to the various forms that the nurses need? More specifically, medications to have at school?
Yes, please find forms at this new Nurses Page.
