Graduation Questions
Will the event be ticketed? Will there be an opportunity to request additional tickets if needed?
The event will be ticketed, and Ms. Cornell is confirming the exact number of tickets each senior will receive. We’ll share that information with families as soon as it’s ready. There will also be an opportunity to request additional tickets; a link and waitlist will be provided at the senior meeting. Those usually go through the office manager, Ms. Vargas.

Join us for an intimate author talk featuring Josh Hickman—Booker T. alum, Dallas journalist, and artist—as he discusses his moving new memoir:
Forgetting: The Trials and Triumphs of Caregiving for a Difficult Parent with Dementia
Having shared his story on Good Morning Texas and various community platforms, Josh returns to his alma mater to offer a raw and honest perspective on a challenge facing many families.
The Discussion
The conversation will be moderated by our school psychologist, Jennifer Toombs, offering a thoughtful and compassionate lens on the themes of memory, family, and the realities of caregiving. This dialogue is designed to provide insight and connection for anyone navigating the journey of supporting a loved one with memory loss.
