Sudie Honor Treble Choir earns EXCELLENT ratings at premiere UIL Choir Concert Contest!!

We are SO PROUD of the Sudie Treble Choir's achievement at both the DISD's Pre UIL and the premiere participation at the Regional UIL Choir Concert contest: both receiving EXCELLENT ratings! The Choir sang three classical pieces: Who Has Seen the Wind?, Alleluia and Sisi Ni Moja (selected by the Choir from the formidable All Region music). A UIL contest judge, who gave our Treble Choir a First Division rating (meaning Outstanding Performance), said: "Wow! Love your start! So clear and crisp! Very calm tone ... You do such a great job following your director," and added, "You are so talented." Another judge commented: "EXCELLENT singing today!"

Premiere Honor Tenor/Bass Choir earns praises at UIL Choir Contest

Our Honor Tenor/Bass Choir earned GOOD ratings at its first UIL Choir Concert Contest. The Choir, only five students, sang Aura Lee, All the World Was Made for Me, and Sisi Ni Moja (personally selected by the Choir from the formidable All Region Choir material). Favorable judges' comments included: "Nice TONE!" "EXCELLENT Diction!" "Great posture & sensitivity." "Great ENERGY throughout!" "Good work guys! Keep singing and continue your musical journeys! I enjoyed your performance today!" Another judge commented: "Classy group of singers. Stood and watched director." "Way to go Choir!" "Tenors, way to carry the melody. You sounded great." "Basses, you're doing great hanging in there with all the high notes." "Admirable energy and enthusiasm," noted another judge.
