The Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0654 to amend the School Code regarding student course placement. The “Accelerated Placement Act” referenced above requires school districts to automatically enroll a student into the “next most rigorous level of advanced coursework if the student meets or exceeds state standards in English language arts (ELA), math, science, [and/or social studies] on a state assessment.” This form is also needed when a student's requested course is not in accordance with the teacher's recommendation.
AP English Language & Composition Contract
Students who are currently enrolled in English 2 Enriched or English 3 Enriched and wish to take AP English Language must complete the interest form during the course selection meeting, and return the signed AP English Lang & Comp Contract to Division Head of English, Lauren Stewart.
By selecting Business Internship students will receive two credits: one for the work experience and the other for classroom instruction. Students will have 10th period off campus. Taking this course fulfills the Consumer Education requirement.
This form needs to be completed for 5th-year students to graduate in January, students on track to graduate a semester early (in January), or for students who would like to graduate a year early (May of Junior Year).
Counselor Questions for Initial Placement
All students requesting Spanish for Native Speakers, D33 Dual Language Students, and students whose home language is Spanish MUST complete this placement form to be sure their placement is best based on the students' individual needs. The World Languages Division Head and appropriate teachers will look at the Google form and conduct an oral proficiency interview (if needed) to determine most appropriate and recommend final placement.
Students can be an aide for teacher, pass runner for an office (nurse, attendance, counseling), or a foreign language peer tutor students. Those who successfully complete this program will receive a .25 credit for each semester.
Early Dismissal/ Late Start Form
According to state mandate, ALL students are to maintain a full schedule throughout the school day. The school is governed by instructional minutes per day and all students are expected to be in attendance for 300 instructional minutes. By District Policy ONLY SENIORS are eligible to apply for off campus. Off campus is a privilege and applies only to periods 1 OR 10 of each day.
This opportunity allows a child to take a course before the traditional school day begins, so that they can take an additional course or unscheduled period if desired.
This course is offered to juniors and seniors who are interested in developing leadership skills within a Physical Education environment. Students will concentrate on skill development, game strategies, skill analysis, officiating rules and techniques, teaching progressions, and methods of organizing various types of activities in a PE class. A strong emphasis is placed on the development of responsibility for self and others, leadership. and peer teaching. Please be sure to have all documents turned into Mr. Zaputil (athletic office) by 12/18/25. The selection process will take place shortly after all applications have been received.

Technology Center of DuPage (TCD) offers DuPage County area high school juniors and seniors career and technical education programs as part of their high school curriculum. In addition to high school credit, TCD students may concurrently earn dual credit. There is approximately a $100 cost for TCD unless you qualify for a fee waiver. Check out this promotional video!
