CTE

Association for Career and Technical Education Online - a variety of general and discipline specific digital resources for teaching and professional development. 

Center for Global Education - provides resources to help CTE educators integrate global issues and skills into what is already being taught in their classrooms.

Crash Course (Youtube) - entertaining and educational videos with playlists including business, engineering and computer programming topics.

​How to Adult (Youtube) - contains playlists on Personal Finance and Home Economics among other things. 

Khan Acedemy - Standards-aligned content and practice for personal finance and entrpreneurship.

New York Times InEducation/Computer Science - curated NYT content by subject area.

Open PTech - tech related career investigation, job skills and programming modules. Students will need to create an account with Google. Teachers can share module links with students.

ELA

Common Lit - contains a wide variety  themed and book paired text sets. Each item also contains guiding and assessment questions.

Crash Course Videos -  This Youtube channel hosted by John Green has a variety of literature segments on books such as 1984, TKAM, Gatsby as well as poetry and Shakespeare.  There are also several theater playlists and a writing playlist done in conjunction with Arizona State University. They are engaging and informative and good for an intro or wrap-up lesson. 

Digital Public Library of America -  Primary source collections exploring topics in history, literature, and culture developed by educators — complete with teaching guides for class use.

New York Times InEducation/English - curated NYT content by subject area.

New York Times Learning Network - Publishes about 1,000 teaching resources each school year, all based on using Times content — articles, essays, images, videos, graphics and podcasts — as teaching tools across subject areas.

News Literacy Project -  Provides programs and resources to teach, learn and share the abilities needed to be smart, active consumers of news and information

No Red Ink - writing and editing tool where you can assign interactive writing practice and assessment.

PBS Learning Media - Standards-aligned videos, interactives, lesson plans, materials can be shared in Google Classroom

The Shakespeare Sessions - podcasts of full length performances as well as supplemental materials produced by the BBC

ABC-Clio Teacher Support Site - Login: wegostaff Password: wildcat04 Contains lesson plans and resources that coordinate with our purchased databases. Lessons/Activities can be pushed out to Google Classroom.

AllSides for Schools - (login using credentials in LRC Passwords to access ad-free) Displays top news stories from the left, center, and right points of view.

Our growing database of 1,000,000 works of art, architecture, and design by 100,000 artists spans historical, modern, and contemporary works, and includes the largest online database of contemporary art.

Crash Course Videos (Youtube) - Extensive collection of entertaining and educational videos on a variety of topics including history, sociology, psychology, philosophy, economics and government. 

Digital Public Library of America -  Primary source collections exploring topics in history, literature, and culture developed by educators — complete with teaching guides for class use.

Facing History and Ourselves - a wide range of multimedia materials, from primary sources and streaming videos to teaching strategies, lesson plans, and full units.

Google Arts & Culture - 1,200 online collections and virtual galleries from museums, galleries and institutions in 70 countries

Ground News - news aggregator good for comparing how different news outlets cover the same story differently. Also highlights "blindspots" - stories that are only covered by the right or left.

Untold - Untold is a free collection of short, compelling, history videos and animations designed to engage new audiences in a new conversation and shine a light on the stories that don’t always make it into the classroom and question what we think we know about those that do.

World 101 - collection of lessons and modules on current world issues like climate change, immigration, etc.

Math

Delta Math - A website that allows teachers to assign math practice content to their students. Students get immediate feedback as they complete the problems. 

Desmos - An online graphing calculator that students can use for free. Includes a teacher-centric activity builder for creating digital math activities.

Geogebra - Graphing calculator for functions, geometry, algebra, calculus, statistics, and 3-D math. Includes practice sheets.

Math Central - Math site for teachers and students put together by education and math faculty of the University of Regina Saskatchewan Canada.

Mathademics (Youtube) - math tutorial videos sponsored by Northern Illinois and created by certified educators​.

Ted Ed Math in Real Life Series - A collection of videos explaining various math concepts applied to real world situations.

Virtual Nerd - Over 1,500 video lessons covering Middle Grades Math through Algebra 2.

Wolfram Alpha - engine for computing answers and providing knowledge. 

Physical Education

Amaze - Toolkits, lesson plans, short humorous factual educational videos and a variety of other sex education information. 

Center for Young Women's Health - Offers quality health info on a broad range of topics, and each is available in English and Spanish. The articles are arranged alphabetically and by topic.

Go Ask Alice - Contains a wide array of reliable health and wellness information for teens supported by a team of Columbia University health promotion specialists, health care providers, and other health professionals, along with a staff of information and research specialists and writers.

Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion - Information on health guidelines and government programs to promote health literacy and wellness.

PE Central - A site by teachers for teachers. Contains videos, lesson plans, best practices, classroom management and challenge ideas. 

Teen Drive 365 - Includes digital interactives, quizzes, videos and virtual fieldtrips.  

Young Men's Health - An educational health site produced by Children’s Hospital Boston includes health guides for young men on a wide range of topics, including general physical health, emotional health, and sexual health. There are also a few guides aimed at parents.

Science

BioDigital - interactive 3D software platform for visualizing anatomy, disease, and treatment.

Bozeman Science - Collection of videos across science topics including anatomy and physiology, chemistry, physics, etc. 

CK-12 Exploration Series - Interactive Physics and Chemistry Simulations

CK-12 NGSS Concept Browser -  Collection of digital materials and activities that is browsable by NGSS concepts and grade levels. 

Collisions Chemistry - Collisions helps students visualize and interact with chemistry concepts through fun and challenging games that integrate with your curriculum.

​Periodic Videos (Youtube) - all things chemistry. A video about each element on the periodic table. New videos every week about science news, interesting molecules and other stuff from the world of chemistry. 

PHET Interactive Simulations - from the University of Colorado -  provides dozens of simulations for physics, chemistry and biology. The website also includes a collection of teacher contributed activities, lab experiences, homework assignments and conceptual questions that can be used with the simulations.

OER Search Engines

These sites are aggregators of a variety of sources from around the web on a variety of subjects. They include everything from lessons to materials to full curricula. 

We subscribe to WeVideo for editing and creation. Their Classroom feature makes reviewing and organizing class video projects a snap.
