● When is the LRC open?
○ Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:45PM
● When can I come to the LRC?
○ Any time the LRC is open and
■ you have free time - before and after school, lunch, between classes, on blended/flex days
■ you have permission from your teacher - release from study hall, a pass from a classroom teacher, medical exemption from PE and your teacher knows where you are
● Do I need to check-in in the LRC?
○only during school hours
○ you need to scan your ID at the desk in order to remain in the LRC, unless you are coming from study hall
○ if you are coming from a class, you need to show your pass when you scan in
● Can I eat in the LRC?
○ Yes, but:
■ only at tables and counters
■ only snacks and sack lunches
■ no hot foods or anything messy
■ drinks need to have a fully closed lid with the exception of a small straw opening or drinking spout
■ clean up after yourself
● Do I need to be quiet?
○ keep your conversation at your table
○ do not disturb those around you
○ use earphones/buds when listening to devices
● How do I check out a book?
○ Bring your book and ID to the desk (we can look you up, but prefer IDs for accuracy)
○ Up to 3 books at a time
○ Books are due in 3 weeks
○ Need more time? Ask about renewal
○ There are no fines for late books - only loss or damage
● Can I play games in the LRC?
○ Yes, we have games, jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, coloring pages and other activities in the LRC. Check out the games shelf near the desk!
○ Remember to keep the noise level down
● Can I use a study room?
○ leave your ID with desk staff - no ID, no room entry
○ they can’t be reserved; first come first served
○ lights stay on
○ legitimate school use such as group projects or recording take priority
○ no more people than the number of chairs in the room
○ if you need to leave (except to go to the bathroom), do not leave items in the room to “hold” the room
● What rules are there in the LRC?
○ take a seat
○ furniture needs to stay where it is!
○ take care of the space
○ treat each other and staff with respect
● How do I print?
○ You can either print from your Chromebook or the printing kiosks:
■ 4 stations near Graphic Novels
■ 2 stations near printer (quicker)
■ instructions for printing from your Chromebook are posted above the printer
● How can I check out a hotspot?
○ hotspots are available to any student having internet access problems at home
○ they are compatible with D94 managed devices only
○ you can request one at the desk in the LRC
○ you and your parent/guardian will need to fill out a borrowing agreement form (available in English and Spanish)
○ let staff know if you need one right away and it can be checked out provisionally and you can bring the form back the following day
