Need a good idea for Father's Day? With quarantine in effect all over the nation, spoiling Dad with a dinner night on the town is out of the question. However, there are ways to still have a nice day to appreciate Dad. Just bring the outdoor activities to the indoors. This year’s Father’s Day will have to be celebrated with the whole family.
Does he like to go picnicking in the park? Bring the picnic and skip the park. CountryLiving, a popular lifestyle magazine, suggests a backyard picnic and camp. To have a nice picnic, just lay out a comfy blanket in the backyard and pack the basket with all of Dad's favorite snacks. Grab a portable speaker and play some music, or just listen to the world around you. Can't go camping? It is possible. Just camp in the backyard. It has got all the nature, and all the convenience of home. No need to pack all the bags for food and extra clothes; just spend a nice night out in a tent with a flashlight and good books.
It is always nice to give away a present, but this year, make Dad work a little for it. Parade supplies the internet with entertaining coverage and proposes an engaging indoor scavenger hunt for Father’s Day. Indoor scavenger hunts can be challenging. Start out by choosing a present and selecting a hidden location to store it. Make Dad draw pictures or solve riddles to get to his clues until he makes it to his prize. Getting the present will feel even more rewarding. Just make sure it is a good one. BestLife, a website dedicated to writing about the ‘best’ things, suggests a pleasant breakfast in bed. Many mothers on Mother's Day were treated to nice, or not so nice, breakfast in bed, but that is not just for Mother’s day. Treat Dad to a yummy breakfast in bed to start off his special day. Eggs, toast, pancakes, and plenty of bacon and meats, are in order for this holiday.
Quarantine does not have to take over the world and the activities held close to the heart. There are many ways to take back control over life, and it can start by just one day. Make this Father's Day the best one, even if it is limited to where you are living. There are countless means of having a nice Father’s Day in 2020. It just takes being a little creative and lots of love.
