The year 2020 is on a roll. It seems that, every month, something new occurs. History is being made. Grandparents thought their lives were hard. Welcome to 2020, the year of good luck. So many events have unfolded and it has only been 5 months. Whoever said 2020 was going to be their year is definitely punching the air right now. In January, there were the Australian fires, talk of World War Three, and Kobe Bryant’s death. In February, the Coronavirus made its way to the United States. When March came, the whole world basically shut down. Then came April, with UFO videos released for the Penthouse. If 2020 could not get any crazier, in May, the news annouced that ‘Murder Hornets’ have enterd the US. June is about to be an exciting adventure.
Let’s recap.
To begin 2020, in January, wildfires continue to burn Australia and unfortunately do not stop until February 10. The comforting news is that more wildfires could start back up in the summer. After all that chaos, the United States gains a new friend: the Coronavirus coming to the US hits everyone by surprise. Muhammed Nafie, from Al Arabiya, who wrote the article “Ten Bad Things That Happened in 2020” even says, “The latest in a series of unfortunate events is the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic that has affected hundreds of thousands and wildfires that ravaged the Australian outback.” The year just keeps getting better and better. On top of that, a professional basketball player, Kobe Bryant, passes away in a plane crash with his daughter. Already, 2020 is on a roll. It does not stop there, though. 2020 continues to have bad luck.
