In the February 2021 issue of The Scroll, Sean Glover conducted a poll after a lengthy debate, full of evidence and research, over the temperature of one's given shower and what the health benefits were for each kind. Now, the results lay before us.
Unfortunately, the turnout of this poll was lower than usual, mainly due to the nature of it being embedded into an article written by yours truly. But nonetheless, the results seem to truly reflect the opinion of the general public, and I couldn't say I agreed with the majority more.
With 12 responses to the poll, 10 people (about 83%) said that they preferred hot showers over cold showers. The other 16.6% of people are monsters with soulless intentions (for legal reasons, this is actually false and pure satire).
Although I am disappointed in the people who said they preferred cold showers, there seems to be a trend in the length that people take their showers based on the temperature. People who take cold showers often take shorter showers (around 5-10 minutes), whereas those who prefer the scalding water running down their back tend to take their sweet time (10-15+ minutes), with the exception of one participator preferring hot showers, yet taking quicker ones.
Of course, we have the odd-man-out-- the one person who insisted that they only ever take baths, and I'm questioning if I even ever want to interact with this person.
Anyway, thank you again for another successful poll, Scroll readers, and stay-tuned for the next time I may coordinate a totally unbiased poll. If you couldn't access the document directly, there's a button above that'll directly lead you there.
