FMS Music

The Fruita Middle School band has been hard at work on music for the upcoming concerts! Here are some of the upcoming events!

1. Our first event for the band is the 8th-grade tour! Now, you might remember a time in fifth grade where a bunch of people from the orchestra, band, and choir came and played some music for you. That was the tour! Our fantastic 8th graders will be going from school to school playing music. (Happens 3/4/26)

 2. Our second event is for 7th- and 8th-graders to attend the Colorado Bandmasters Festival! The times are yet to be decided. (3/10/26)

 3. 4/15/26 is the Pre-festival Concert for all students (6th grade may or may not play in the festival; this will be decided). 6. This is our last and final event of the school year, sadly. But! this is THE FESTIVAL! The festival is an event where students go to play special music for judges. (Happens on 4/22-25/26)

The FMS Orchastra is an amazing place with the one of the best teachers ever!!! Mrs. Lavidie she is amazing. Anyways we are a hard working team of musicians. We will play for juges and solo and enseble we have finnished that. Cool fact in Solo and Enseble ONLY 1 is the best score which is crazy to belive. We are doing great in class and our songs.

On Wednesday, March 4, the 8th grade band, choir, and orchestra students will all be going on tour around the town. 8th-graders will show off their musical skills to each elementary school in the Fruita boundary. We are prepared to have some fun and show-off our great music programs!
