As the school year wraps up, Fruita MIddle School orchestras are proud to show off all they have worked on!Â
The concert will start at 7:30, though, the student performers are required to be there at 7:00 to tune their instruments, find a seat, and warm up to give an amazing show! The concert will take place at the old  FMS, 239 North Maple Street, in the auditorium. If you went to the fall concert in October, then please enter through the same doors you went through the last concert.Â
We ask that you please respect our performers! They have worked endlessly to give you a good show, and ask that you please use the proper etiquette when listening to the wonderful music they have prepared for you.Â
Thank you for supporting our young performers, we hope to see you all there!

Christmas is just around the corner as we start moving into the last month of the year, December. But what are we all actually doing for Christmas break?
The thought of not having to wake up early for 2 and a half weeks is very nice, you can finally get some sleep instead of waking up at 5:30 every weekday. But how are you going to spend the rest of the day? Sure you might be able to play some video games but what if you don't have any, or your parents kick you off? Well, even though it is a La Nina year, meaning nobody can really predict if we get snow this year, but there will definitely be snow in the mountains. Which means if you ski or snowboard or have a lodge in the mountains, December through February would be great for all of these things.
Winter Olympics is also going to be happening in 2026, which snowboard gold medalist for the USA, Chloe Kim will be participating in. Your family might even be traveling for Christmas. But before you go, you must make sure that you have gotten flu and COVID vaccines.Â
For teachers, some of them will be doing fun things, but some may not. For example, I asked Mr. Cole what he was going to be doing for Christmas break, and he said "I'm going to be doing the most boring thing ever, working on a masters degree."
What you are doing for Christmas break is your choice. Whether you are sitting at home playing video games, or snowboarding down a mountain. We all have fun or maybe not so fun things to do!
Have a great break!Â
