I began teaching in 2008 at Roy J. Wasson High School. I was honored to teach there for four years where I had the opportunity to teach Physical, Earth, & Space (PES) Science, Biology, Astronomy, and several 9-week seminars I developed: Green Energy, Robotics, & Forensic Science. I also had the privilege of sponsoring the Thunderbird Astronomy Club, working with the Scuba Club, being an advisor for the National Honor Society chapter, and leading the science department as chair for two and a half years. I also was the assistant Girls' Swimming Coach for three years.
I began teaching at Vista Ridge High School in 2012 where I have taught Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physical Science, Linear Physics, Honors Physics, and AP Physics. I also developed an on-line Astronomy course in 2013 and added an in-class Astrophysics course in 2016. In 2013 I was asked to be the Linear Physics Lead Teacher, in 2014 I was honored to be asked to be the Department Chair, and I lead our Blended Learning Team for two years, and have recently returned as the Department Chair for Science.
