This year marks my 36th year of teaching 8th-grade science to students in D303. I started my career in this building, although my old room is now just a memory. After teaching at the “original” Thompson for 11 years, I moved to Wredling, my home away from home for 22 years. I taught in the 7-8 center for the last two years and will end my career in the newly renovated building. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!), obtained a Master’s degree from St. Xavier University, and became a National Board Certified teacher in 2011. Aside from my love of teaching science, I keep busy working with the Student Council and Science Club and traveling back and forth to Iowa City to visit my son.
