College Visits

East welcomes over 200 college representatives during the school year in the LRC. This is a great opportunity to speak with the college rep and learn more about their school, program and opportunities offered. Stop by the College & Career Office to pick up a pass to meet with college representatives in the LRC.

College Rep Visit Procedures

All meetings will be in the LRC (unless otherwise noted) and students must obtain a pass from the College & Career Readiness Office at least one day prior to attending. This pass then should be signed by the teacher of the class for that period. While we encourage students to attend these meetings, please note that what is happening in the classroom is more important. Teachers may deny the request to miss class if they feel it is in the student’s best interest to be in attendance.

If a student is unable to attend a meeting, the student should stop by the College & Career Readiness Office and leave contact information that we will pass along to the representative from the appropriate school.

College Visit Sign-up in SchooLinks

Log in to your SchooLinks account (https://app.schoolinks.com/).
On the Student Dashboard, click on the School Events section to see all upcoming college visits.
Click on the name of the visit you want to attend, and then click on the Register for this Event button.

Before attending the visit, make sure you pick up a College Visit Pass from the College & Career Readiness Office or Student Services. You will need to fill out the form and have your teacher sign it before attending the visit. You will also be responsible for making up any missed work when attending a college visit.

If you are a College Admissions Representative, we would love to have you visit St. Charles East to talk with our students. We are using SchooLinks for our college search and application process. We have published our availability and are accepting bookings for the current school year.

To create your account, start here: https://app.schoolinks.com/onboarding. Once you have signed up, add a college as your employer. Make sure to select the name of your school exactly as it appears! Then you can start scheduling events. If you cannot find your college in the search, reach out to SchooLinks and they’ll get it set up for you.
