Operation Snowball is a teen-led drug and alcohol prevention program founded on the belief that every person is like a single snowflake unique, but at our foundation, we are all the same. We are all unique, we come in different shapes, sizes, personalities, and beliefs, yet we are all human. When people of like minds and ideas striving for a better future for ourselves and our community come together we are Snowball.
Meetings are on 2nd & 4th Thursdays, after school in B215.
During these meetings, teen leaders facilitate guest speakers or fun activities to develop understanding of who we are and the roles we play within this world, which will help guide us in decision-making toward healthy choices.
Snowball is a good stress reliever for anyone who needs a laugh or just a place to hang out free of the day-to-day judgments and negativities that surround us—Snowball is a place that accepts everyone for who they are regardless of beliefs, backgrounds, or experiences. Snowball is made up of many motivated students from East and many other schools within the Greater Fox River Valley community (Geneva, Batavia, West Aurora, Rosary, ACC . . . etc).
To attend Snowball one does not need to register, they just need to make the time to come to the meetings anytime they get the chance.
In Snowball we have a saying, “It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, it only matters where you’re going.”
Watch the Orange & Black bulletin for information.
