Grade Level & Accelerated Math - We will begin the year with Module 1, focusing on understanding positive and negative integers. In Module 2, students will deepen their knowledge by representing rational numbers and their opposites on a number line, comparing and ordering rational numbers, determining absolute values, and expressing inequalities on both horizontal and vertical number lines.
7th Grade Math
This month, we’re diving into a key concept in 7th grade math—Proportional Relationships. These relationships are all around us, from cooking recipes to comparing speeds. We will be learning how to recognize them and use them in tables, graphs, and equations!
8th Grade Algebra 1A
May 2025
We have just finished studying The Pythagorean Theorem in the real-world. Students found missing side lengths in a right triangle by using Pythagorean Theorem. To finish out the year, out next unit is Module 12 Properties of Exponents. These properties, also known as the laws of exponents, help in manipulating and simplifying expressions with powers, making calculations easier. The laws of exponents and used in the real world by many doctors and scientists. Please encourage your 8th grader to finish the year strong by bringing their calculator and pencils to class daily. Go Cardunals!
8th Grade Honors Algebra
September 2025
We began the school year with Module 2, starting with Solving Equations. In September, students will continue with Proportions and then move on to the second part of Module 2, Inequalities. During this unit, students will learn how to represent inequalities on a number line, work with compound inequalities, and apply their knowledge to solve real-world word problems.
