ARK Lessons in August

During the first 2 weeks of school students particapted in school wide ARK lessons presented in their classes. These lessons intrdoduced 6th graders to DMS expectations, and reminded our 7th and 8th graders what those expectations are. The following is a list of lessons that students had presented to them:

Bathroom Expectations
Cafeteria Expectations
Arrival / Dismissal Expectations
Hallway/Locker/Passes
After School Events Expectations
Technology: Cellphones and Chromebooks
Conflict Resolution
Speaking with Good Purpose

Ask your students about these lessons, and what they can do to make DMS a safe and welcoming environment for everyone this school year.

What is ARK?

At DMS we follow ARK in our building. ARK stands for: Accountability, Responsibility, and Kindness.

Accountability - taking ownership of your actions, good or bad.

Responsibility - doing what you need to do in a timely manner.

Kindness - be respectful and kind to all.

When students are following ARK they are able to earn Cardunal Cash to use at our school stores, enter quarterly raffle prizes, and teachers may use them for incentives in the classroom.
