E-mail is one of the main methods of contact from college to prospective student. It is VERY important that you check your e-mail regularly (at least once per day is suggested).
You will find that colleges send e-mails frequently and some of them include very important information. To keep track, you may want to create a new e-mail address (you can get a free one through Google) only for the college application process.
Within your e-mail account, consider creating labels or folders for each school so it is easier to keep track of important information.
