Snap&Read will help you do the following:
Listen to text as it’s read aloud across websites, PDFs, and Google Drive. It also reads in other languages.
Adjust the reading level of text without changing the meaning.
Fill in PDF worksheets, highlight text, take notes, then save to Google Drive, print, or download.
Translate text into 100+ languages on any web page.
Pull text into an outline, then organize it and add notes.
Improve readability with the Remove Distractions feature. A single click gets rid of distracting content and adjusts fonts, spacing and number of characters per line.
Snap&Read is a Google Chrome extension found in the row of extensions next to the URL address bar on Google Chrome.
Click on the extension to activate it. On your first use of Snap&Read, login with your D118 account and allow permissions.
Text to Speech
Click on the icon and then click anywhere in the text to start reading.
Click again to stop.

Click the icon first.
Use the mouse to create a box in the text to be read by clicking in the upper left corner and lower right corner.
Release mouse to have text read aloud.
Translation -- Enable this feature in the OPTIONS. Select language, toggle to ON position.
Accessible material:
Highlight text and click the translation icon
Look for italicized words to hover and see the question mark.
Click the mouse to toggle between text word and translated word.
Inaccessible material:
Use the screenshot reader, then highlight the text in the box.
Click on the text leveler and hover to see the question mark.
Click the mouse to toggle between text word and translated word.
Color overlay and reading guide line
Click on the icon and use the mouse to follow along in the text while reading.
Color overlay and line guide will appear.
Dictionary - Double click define
Enable in OPTIONS and click on an unknown word for definitions or images to appear.
Definitions can be read aloud with Text to Speech.
Both definitions and pictures can be copied and pasted.
Remove Distractions -- Click on extension and select Remove Distractions.
