Manufacturing Days
For all students interested in a career in Manufacturing. We will be visiting local companies to learn more about career options in Manufacturing.
Career Center Field Trips and Presentations
Throughout the school year we will offer students the opportunity to explore a variety of careers via field trips. Field trips are designed to give students a behind the scenes look into different careers helping them decide if that career may be an option for them.
Field trips will be announced in the weekly “You Got It” emails and on CTV. The CYHS school counselors are also a great resource for learning about upcoming field trips.
JA Inspire by Junior Achievement
JA Inspire Explore provides downloadable career information, career videos, and Zoom webinars to inspire career-readiness that can be saved and explored later in a virtual backpack. JA Inspire Connect features local businesses offering links to local opportunities including internships, apprenticeships and full time careers. UPMC Career Exploration Programs
UPMC Pinnacle is offering Career Exploration Programs in three different fields; Nursing, Imaging and the laboratory field. Please visit their website to learn more and to apply.
PennState Health Inspired Nursing Program
The “Inspired Nursing” Program is designed to give high school students, over the age of 15, a chance to see the diversity of roles and opportunities that nursing has to offer. PULSE is a semester long, 12 week, theme based program for 9th through 12th grade students passionate about biomedical science taught at the Med Center with professional development and mentoring by medical students, biomedical researchers and practicing clinicians. Apply here.
