URGENT HIRING!!

We are seeking vigilant and dependable Event Security Personnel to ensure the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during events. The Event Security Personnel will be responsible for implementing security protocols, monitoring access points, and responding to security incidents. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally.

Duties

• Ensure the safety and security of both Copper Nickel premises and its personnel

• Conduct thorough security checks of attendees, staff, and vendors upon entry to the event.

• Monitor access points, including entrances and exits, to prevent unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.

• Diffuse any situation when patron(s) are not responding rationally or may be inebriated with a calming but assertive manner

• Ability to remove patron(s) who violate the rules while at the Copper Nickel. 

• Attend Copper Nickel staff meetings with the Event Director and the team

• Provide a visible security presence to deter potential misconduct and maintain a safe environment

• Provide assistance and information to attendees as needed

• Prepare incident reports detailing security-related activities and incidents

• Must have great communication, problem solving, organizational and people skills.

• Must follow dress code and have exemplary behavior in front of clients and guests when diffusing a situation.

Qualifications

• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills

• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

• Professional attitude and appearance

• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Knowledgeable to safety, security operations and procedures

• Knowledgeable of state laws and regulations

• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Has worked at least one event (Birthday, Wedding, etc.)

Pay

• Pay is based on the event that is worked. We have events which are a couple of hours to possibly 8 hours. 

Rate of pay is $20.00 an hour. There are events almost every weekend. We also have events on Sundays, weekdays, mornings, evenings & holidays.

• Part time

• $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
