Mrs. Bartell's Classroom

This is my 11th year teaching, and my third year here at Shelburne Community School.  I believe in building strong relationships, developing a growth mindset and encouraging students to take charge of their learning through goal setting and reflection.  I love watching students grow and accomplish their goals. 

A little about me outside of school: I grew up in Huntington, Vermont and last fall I purchased my first home in Addison. I have a 2 year old son named Sawyer, who keeps me very busy as he is always on the move.  I also have two dogs, Flower and Dozer and a cat, named Ophelia. We also have a flock of 20 chickens. I love to spend time with my family at our cabin in Peacham, VT, crystal mine in upstate New York, see live music.  I love gardening and experimenting in the kitchen.
