My name is Katlin Bartell, though my students know me as Mrs. Bartell. I love the challenge, problem-solving, and opportunities for creativity that math provides, and I look enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with children. Building confidence and problem-solving skills in mathematics is one of my primary goals as your teacher.
I grew up in Huntington, Vermont, and now live in Addison with my husband, Asa, our two children, Sawyer (4) and Corinne (1), and our dog, Dozer. We also have a flock of 26 chickens that keep us busy!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible. I love hiking, camping, swimming, gardening, and attending live music events. My family and I also enjoy escaping to our off-the-grid cabin in Peacham, Vermont, where we can unplug and enjoy nature and family. During the winter months, you'll often find me curled up by the fire with a good book. I also love cooking and am always eager to try new recipes throughout the year.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with community building, curiosity, growth, and learning. Together, we will create a classroom where students feel supported, challenged, and excited to explore new ideas.
