This will be my ninth year as a classroom teacher in Shelburne and my eleventh year of teaching. I feel grateful to be a part of this amazing community! My wife's name is Courtney who is a paramedic. We have an 11 year old son; Mason, and a 9 year old daughter; McKenzie. We have two dogs and one cat that acts like a dog. Our black lab named Maverick and our dachshund/boston terrier named Mareena. Marcus is our black cat with white paws.
I recieved my undergrad degree from Keene State College in Keene, NH. I am currently enrolled in a graduate program to earn a Master's Degree in Social Emotional Education. I am also a Responsive Classroom Consulting Teacher and have been for 6 years. I have had the privledge to be an author for the Fly Five Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum. My teaching philosophy is centered around educating the whole child and finding ways to embed our CARES skills into every lesson and classroom conversation to help students grow in their life-long learning.
We live in Jericho. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, playing chess, officiating ice hockey, building with LEGO, geocaching, going on adventures, and traveling the country.
