This is my tenth year teaching and my fourth year with Shelburne Community School. I am so grateful to be a part of such a kind, supportive team of educators here at SCS.
I moved to Vermont to attend Champlain College, where I received a dual license in early childhood education and elementary education. I jumped right into teaching and have worked with students aged 7 weeks through 4th grade. I finished my master’s degree in education a few years ago and also have completed a graduate certificate focused on Educational Neuroscience. I am a lifelong learner and I love helping others find their love of learning. A big theme in my classroom is “We are here to support each other as we grow, as learners and as people.” There is so much learning and personal development that happens in elementary school, and I’m honored to be a part of it.
When I’m not at school I like to get outside, ski, read, do yoga, and work on our many house projects. My husband, Kevin, and I welcomed baby Oliver into our family this past February. He’s fantastic and we’ve loved introducing him to the world so far.
