A quick reminder of the do's and don'ts.
A review and understanding of what clay is.
Do not take more than a fist of clay at a time. (Unless you are making a slab mug)
Use a clay mat or be sure to wipe up your spot really well. Clay dust is toxic to our lungs. Let's keep it out of them.
Scratch to attach. Both pieces. Think lego connection.
Water is your glue. Use it. But not too much.
If your clay gets really dried out, don't dump it in water. Put it back with the other clay and get a new piece. Let me know, I might have a dry bag going.
No thicker than a snicker. But for real, clay can't be thick, the water and air can't get out in the kiln. Ask if you don't understand.
NEVER put initials on your work. Label it with your first name, your grade, and your teachers first initial. Example: Lisa 5K
