2024 Community Innovation Award

The Society for Science is proud to offer an award to high school students at 30 science fairs around the world

who seek to help mankind through science and engineering. CVRSF is one of the 30 fairs selected to offer the award!

The $500 Community Innovation award should be provided to a student who has done a project that will better humanity and improve conditions in the local

community. Participating science fairs should use the judging criteria to award the most deserving student at the high school level of their fair; this award is not associated with becoming a Regeneron ISEF finalist and should be judged separately.

The Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair (VSSEF.org) will be hosted by Old Dominium University  April 12-13, 2024

As an affiliated fair, CVRSF may nominate up to 16 projects. All first-place regional winners and second-place winners will be considered.

CVRSF will pay for the VSSEF registration ($35.00) for students who attend in-person at ODU.

Details will be emailed to our nominees immediately after the virtual awards ceremony. A block of rooms are reserved for CVRSF nominated students.
