The Khan Academy is an online resource where you can learn at your own pace. In general, the learning experience in the Khan Academy involves watching a video and then practicing some problems. It is similar to having a one-on-one tutor that teaches in the Direct Teaching Method. Because you can pause, repeat, and replay the video many students will find the lessons useful.

You can use the resources of the Khan Academy without joining. For example, you can type "fractions" in the Search bar at the top of the page and you will see a series of videos and lessons for a variety of operations with fractions.

If you choose to join the Khan Academy you will be able to track your progress and create your own schooling experiences.

The Berkeley Math Circle (BMC)is an organization that loves mathematics. If you would like to explore mathematics, work with other like-minded individuals, or compete in mathematics competitions, the BMC is the place for you.
