CVHS Juniors and Seniors have the opportunity to enroll in the Eden Area Regional Occupational Program. Eden Area ROP specializes in Career Technical Education and transforms student aspirations into reality.

The Castro Valley High School Dance program is expanding to include beginner and intermediate levels of Dance. Dance classes count as Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) credit toward graduation.
The AVID curriculum focuses on writing, inquiry, collaboration, organizational skills, and reading (WICOR) in both teacher- and tutor-led activities. While concurrently enrolled in a college-prep course of study, students learn strategies to enhance success. Note-taking, outlining, writing, speaking, reading, test-taking strategies, and self-awareness are stressed.
