Social Work Interns 

Hi everyone! My name is Angie, and I’m currently a first-year Master of Social Work student at California State University, East Bay. I’m so excited to be joining Ms. Bias as a social work intern at the Wellness Center this year!

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, East Bay, where I developed a strong interest in working with children and families. I also have experience working in an Elementary School, where I had the opportunity to work closely with students and support them in their everyday school experiences. This experience helped me learn the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment where students feel comfortable being themselves.

I was raised in Hayward, so I have a special connection to the Bay Area and the amazing community we live in. I’m looking forward to getting to know the students and staff at Creekside and being someone approachable and supportive.  A few fun facts about me: I speak Spanish, I love soccer, and I enjoy spending time at the beach. I’m excited to be part of the Creekside community and look forward to connecting with everyone throughout the school year!

Hi everyone! My name is Annabelle, and I’m a first-year Master of Social Work student at California State University, East Bay. I’m incredibly excited to be joining Ms. Bias as a social work intern at the Wellness Center this year!

I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Oregon, which helped shape my desire to work with individuals who may need a little extra support, guidance, or simply someone willing to listen. For the past few years, I’ve worked in school settings with children with developmental delays as a Registered Behavior Technician. Through that experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside incredible teams of social workers, therapists, and school psychologists. Seeing the difference that compassionate and determined individuals can make has been a huge inspiration for me, and I’m excited to be part of that work at Creekside this year.

When I’m not at Creekside or Cal State East Bay, I love going on hikes and generally exploring the Bay Area! I didn’t grow up in California, so there’s still a lot for me to discover. I’m always open to recommendations for new places to explore! I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone and being a part of the Creekside community this year!
