About Us

The Creekside Library Media Center serves the Creekside community of learners  by enriching and supporting the school curriculum and fostering a love of reading.   Students are empowered to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.

Students have access to the library before and after school, during breaks, lunch and class visits.  Sixth grade students visit the library weekly with their Language Arts classes.  Seventh and eighth grade students may visit the library on their own, or with a class to support a specific project or learning objective.   Online books and resources extend the reach of the library collection to classroom and home.

We strive to foster student and family involvement in the library by sponsoring events, providing opportunities to volunteer on campus, providing parents with information about library resources and services through communication in the Currents Newsletter and on twitter, and hosting student clubs and community meetings.
