Chromebooks are provided for students to use for school related activities. Students are expected to use district technology safely, responsibly, and for educational purposes only in accordance with the CVUSD Acceptable Use Policy. Students must return the same Chromebook and power supply cord in working condition when they leave the school district.
Fines will be charged for lost or damaged equipment according to the CVUSD Portable Electronic Agreement. The replacement cost is $250 for a Chromebook and $20 for a power supply cord. If a Chromebook is damaged, the student must meet with staff to go over the Chromebook Care and Responsibility guidelines, may be required to meet with the site administration, and fines may be assessed.
It is strongly recommended that students use a CVUSD issued device for use at school and at home. CVUSD is not liable for damage to personal devices at school. Students are required to use a CVUSD device during standardized testing.
Students are expected to bring their fully charged Chromebook to school everyday.
Students may not check out a loaner Chromebook from the library.
Students experiencing problems with their Chromebooks should bring them to the library during regular library hours for assistance.
