Join K-Kids! (gr 4 & 5)

You are invited to join the K-Kids Club of Blue Hills!

What is K-Kids? K-Kids is a student-led community service organization. It teaches the value of helping others by taking part in community service projects and club activities. K-Kids is unique because it’s sponsored by a local Kiwanis Club, composed of professional people in the community. What is Kiwanis? Kiwanis International is a worldwide organization of people interested in helping kids around the world. Kiwanis members belong to adult Kiwanis Clubs, which are a lot like K-Kids Clubs. A Kiwanis Club sponsors the K-Kids Club at our school. What do K-Kids members do? Attend and lead K-Kids meetings (every 4-8 weeks during lunch time). ü Participate in K-Kids service and fundraising projects. Join us for our first virtual meeting! If you’d like to serve your school and community, learn leadership skills, build friendships, and have fun, join us for our first virtual lunch meeting on Wednesday, September 23 @ 11:30am. At our first meeting we will discuss how we will elect our officers for this year and start brainstorming some “at home” service projects we’d like to take on this year. We will use the MEET code BlueHillsKKIDS for all our meetings. (Use the MEET app or join at www.meet.google.com) Please complete the “Permission to Participate” form and “Photo Release” by Wednesday, September 16, if you’d like to join us for our first meeting on Wednesday, September 23 @ 11:30am. The form is a separate attachment to the email.

Weekly Read Alouds with Principal Mitchell!

Each Wednesday from 11:00 - 11:30 AM

Come Join Ms. Mitchell for a fun, weekly virtual read-aloud! You'll hear classic stories as well as many of Ms. Mitchell's family favorites too! Please be sure to sign in to the Google Meet using your CUSD credentials. Feel free to bring a stuffed animal and a mug of hot cocoa along with you! You can even have pets and siblings join the read aloud as well! Looking forward to meeting you all there!
