If you would like, you can also make your own designs. These are websites Mr. B. recommends. You will use your Google login information for both sites. If you have an account from class, feel free to use it. If you do not have an account setup, you can stop by the STEM Lab (Mr. B.'s room) any time to get one setup. As long as his door is open, you can stop in!
TinkerCAD - You can put together 3D shapes to make larger, more complex objects. This site is very easy to use once you understand how it works. This site is very easy to use to make keychains.
SketchUp - This program allows for more design choices. It may take more time to use than TinkerCAD, but the options you have are limitless. You can access this on your Chromebook or you can work on the STEM Lab before or after school on Mr. B.'s computers as long as the door is open. If you would like to get a pass to work during study hall, talk with Mr. B.
These are the rules for 3D printing. They are subject to change, so please be sure you check them each time before you print.
For normal filament, printing will cost $0.25 per 10 grams.
The cost will round up to the nearest 10 grams. So if a print weighs 21 grams, you will be charged $0.75.
Mr. B. can easily resize projects to match your budget.
Money collected will be used to buy additional filament and colors. If you have a color you would like to see, let Mr. B. know. Filament will not be ordered for specific projects, but when more filament is needed, other colors can be ordered.
Below are the current colors that are available. These will be updated as colors come and go. The pictures below should give you a good idea on the color, but you might want to stop by the STEM Lab (Mr. B.'s room) to double check the color.
