The tabloid outlines the intent and pedagogy of CPA 2024, introduces all partners and 11 archiving projects from across South Asia, and also gives a glimpse into the critical curatorial discussions that have emerged over 8-12 months of the overall program experience. Content is curated in many languages: digital and written, visual and verbal, Urdu, Hindi, Bangla, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Gujarati, Sindhi, and so on.

Histories can often be more compelling than fiction—not just through their content, but also in the ways they are represented. Curating for Culture’s Constructing Personal Archives program has been a recurring testament to this, bringing to light histories that are rarely encountered in our everyday lives and often feel unusual or unexpected.

Preserving such narratives is one thing, but what if we also came together to read, listen, and engage in meaningful conversations around them?

We invite you to join us for a participatory and immersive session—reflecting on some of these offbeat histories, peppered with insights drawn from our experience of curating three editions of 'Constructing Personal Archives', leaving you with ideas and food for thought to carry forward. Together, we hope to co-create a safe space to engage with difficult or unusual histories in fresh, imaginative ways.
