Summer Programming Note:
Summer is our lighter season for regular programs — most groups pause and return in September/October. Check "CUC Events" below for what's happening in the meantime, and full fall programming will post here soon.
As we prepare for our move into our new home, we could use your help with two important items:
Do you have CUC items in storage?
If you're storing any church-owned items that will need to be moved to 36 Bergen, please let Brooke know what you have so we can plan accordingly.
Gardening tool donations needed
The Landscape Team is looking for donations of gently used gardening equipment in excellent working condition, such as hoses, shovels, rakes, and other basic tools. If you have items you'd like to donate, please contact Karen Clemments. Thank you for helping us care for our new home.
Looking a little further out — here's what's coming up at CUC, with details and save-the-dates.
After a great experience last year, CUC is returning to WestwoodFest! We’ll once again be there as both a sponsor and community participant, with craft activities and an information table where we can connect with local families and introduce them to CUC.
This year’s event is especially meaningful as we look ahead to opening our new home at 36 Bergen Avenue and becoming an even more visible part of the Westwood community.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, our craft tables, and the information table. You can volunteer for the full four hours or sign up for a two-hour shift.
Want to help? Please contact Elizabeth Stewart. A sign-up sheet will also be available on Sunday mornings at the entrance.
Come join us and help CUC show up for our community!
Ingathering Sunday — All-Ages Water Communion: "New Beginnings"
We open our new congregational year with Ingathering Sunday, a time to gather in community with members, friends, and newcomers. Together, we'll take part in our beloved Water Ceremony — please bring a small container of water from a place meaningful to you, whether near or far. Our blended waters remind us of our shared journey and collective spirit. After the service, stay for our annual picnic!
September 13, 10:30 am | 205 Kinderkamack Rd. Westwood, NJ
Service speaker: Rev. Andrée Cornelia Mol

Closer to home — a few Westwood happenings we thought you'd enjoy.
The Borough of Westwood has launched the first edition of a new digital municipal magazine designed to provide residents with regular updates on the work being done by borough departments, boards, committees, and elected officials.
Planned for publication two to three times per year, the magazine will serve as a centralized source of information on municipal projects, community initiatives, upcoming events, local government activities, and stories of interest.
