Benedict Gorman studies nursing with a minor in philosophy at Catholic University (class of 2025). An avid landscape photographer, Benedict enjoys large-format film development and printing. He has exhibited in both solo and juried exhibition in addition to publication in previous issues of Vermilion.
Painted Bunting, Potomac Maryland is a digital photograph in 2014 while on a hike near Great Falls, Maryland. This bird is a native of Florida, but had been driven north by storms. Benedict was only aware of its likelihood of being in the are and its rarity through his father, Dr. Gorman.
