We invite you and your baby to consider participating in a research study: Home Assessment of Fine Motor Development in Infants. [1]. Download and share our flyer!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Your baby is younger than 12 months of age at enrollment.
You have Wi-Fi and Internet access at home.
STUDY PROCEDURE
Guide your baby in playing with our HAND USED AND GRASP SENSOR (HUGS) system to document his/her fine motor development. (See this short YouTube Video.)
HUGS, consists of a video camera, laptop, and toy frame with sensorized toys. Training (online or face-to-face as desired) will be provided.
Do one, 10-minute play session with your baby every 2 weeks until s/he is 52 weeks old (a maximum of 20 sessions).
HUGS stores conveniently in your home.
THANK YOU STIPEND
Get up to $350 for your time and effort playing with your baby using HUGS!
For the full stipend, complete all 20 sessions within +- 3 days of when they are scheduled.
FREE NEURO-MOTOR ASSESSMENT AT CHILDREN'S NATIONAL
Complete a totally FREE neuro-motor assessment with infant specialists at our partner, Children's National Hospital, in Washington, DC.
