Mission
The University shall primarily provide leading-edge degree programs, innovative professional, entrepreneurial, and technical instruction as well as research and extension programs that address both needs of the region and the nation in the context of the global knowledge economy, Fourth Industrial Revolution, and sustainability.
Goal
· Obtain a Philippine university system status with a CHED SUC Level V recognition or equivalent;
· Be ranked among the Top 10 Universities in the Philippines;
Achieve world-class performance and excellence using leading quality management systems for quality assurance and control.
· Be included in the list of internationally recognized ranking of universities (including Quacquarelli Symonds, Times Higher Education, Shanghai University Ranking, and World University Impact Ranking);
Develop innovative academic initiatives, including medical and allied fields , engineering and technology , and transnational higher education programs for enhanced career pathways, progress, specialization, international recognitions and accreditations, and global mobility ; and
· Pursue efforts to pave way for the development of new programs (including natural sciences and Doctor of Medicine) and Transnational Higher Education;

The Faculty Development Program of Hospitality Management is aimed to improve the professional qualification and teaching methods of the faculty so that they can contribute directly to a quality student learning which would translate greater productivity of graduates.

Professional Development Activities such as Educational, Social, Cultural and Athletic Functions (Article XIV, Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines) at all events held or sponsored by the CTU, faculty members are to be admitted free of charge, unless, specified otherwise. Where an admission fee or charge is required, the CTU endeavors as much as possible to provable special and adequate seating arrangements rates for faculty members.

Reasonable Budget
The sources of budget come from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) and Special Trust Fund (STF). The Faculty Development program is allotted a reasonable budget for each college based on the number of students. It is in these funds where Faculty Development Programs are funded.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Sustainable Tourism Education Program Upgrading Project (STEP-UP) the Cebu Technological University is very eager in submitting the Proposed Project .

AWARDS OF DISTINCTION AND ACHIEVEMENT AND GRANTS OF THIS PROGRAM
Some Hospitality Management faculty are recipients of several distinction and Achievement awards especially in the areas of research and instruction. Faculty members who were invited to International Research Forum abroad or national level brought home Achievement Awards due to their Research findings and contribution they have presented.
Research and Extension Grants are collaborative and intradisciplinary in nature. These grants usually come from other government agencies such as the CHED, DOST, DSWD or the DTI which the college are involved.
The CME professors conducted a training with the members and officers of Cajel farmers association and Borbon farmers federation on April 25, 2022 in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry - Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (DTI-CARP).
