In a fast paced, scientifically advanced and digitalized world, there still lies injustice and inequality that causes an imbalance in spheres - social and domestic. Exercising dominion over the other gender by establishing superiority and demanding respect can be demeaning and disrespectful to the ones at the receiving end of it. Incidentally, individuals who are victimized to such inequalities relentlessly strive to acquire a passable position in the society which subsequently gives rise to mental depression. However, mustering courage to rise to the occasion by voicing out strong opinions can be said to create a groundbreaking revival.
Therefore, in an effort to help students gather courage and confidence to stand against such inequalities, the Student Council in association with the Department of Psychology of Chevalier T.Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized a seminar on 'Gender Equality' for the members of the Student Council, Junior Council, Club Co-ordinators and Class Representatives on October 11, 2022.
