The program commenced as the Council invited the Guest speaker Ms.R.Sridevi and the Dean of Students Mrs.Beena Thomas. Following that was a mime performance by the students regarding the theme Gender Equality and Reproductive Health. The speaker started the session by questioning the students, to which they responded actively. It was more of an interactive session as the speaker put forth a lot of questions and the students answered them zestfully.She talked about the population of the world and how much of an important role we humans play in this world and emphasized the saying that human beings are the 'Crown of Creation. She elaborated on Adolescence, what it means, its an abbreviation, the changes one goes through when they reach that stage. She even briefly addressed teenage pregnancy, abortion, and the struggles one has to face if they're prone to either one of these. She also shared people's personal experiences with teen pregnancy and the hardships they had to face to create awareness among the students.
VOTER'S ID REGISTRATION

As the elections approached, those of our college students who were above 18 and did not possess Voter's ID was guided to registering for voter's ID online. Students from all the departments who wanted to register for voter ID were asked to bring their particulars that were required to fill-up the form. The Council registered for around 85 students in total.
TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

The teacher's day celebration started with great exuberance among the crowd of the entire college as they cheered for their very own dearest faculty members.Our Principal Dr.Hanifa Ghosh, Vice Principal Dr.R.Meenakshi, Dean of students Mrs.Beena Thomas, Dean of research Dr.S.Sridevi, Dean of academics Mrs.R.Rajalakshmi, IQAC coordinator Mrs.Mercy Silvester also graced the occasion along with all the Head of Departments and faculty members. The students had lined up several events to entertain their faculty members on the most special day. The program started with a beautiful song sung by one of the students, followed by a dance and a skit all dedicated to their beloved teachers.
Next up there were two fun games set up for the volunteering faculty members. They actively participated with great energy as the crowd was filled with cheers and roars of enchantment as they watched. The program ended as every faculty member was given a plant as a token of the student's love and appreciation. Finally, our principal Dr.Hanifa Ghosh spoke a few words and thanked the students for all their love.

The student council enthusiastically participated in baseball tournament with sports captains at collage ground and was placed as runners. On the occasion of sports day celebration Mr.Jaison Cheriyan MCPO || PTI, assistant sports officer INS rajali inaugurated the sports day function. The student council along with sports captain, and college students marched dressed up formally.
ONAM CELEBRATION

The students of the Ctte has celebrated the Onam Festival in our college with the permission of our beloved principal Dr Hanifa Gosh on 6th September 2019. The programme began by displaying a beautiful Pookkalamin in the college portico and the open air theatre arranged by the students. Following that one of our college students came in disguise Of The King Mahabali walked in with the setup of king entry with his queen and our principal followed by the staffs and students. As The festival of Onam is dedicated to King Mahabali The myth of King Mahabali says that the king sacrificed himself along with everything else he had to stand true to his words. Thus as a reward for his sacrifice, he was blessed to be remembered by the people of Kerala and all his followers for eternity in the form of the Onam festival.
The staff and students presented a special programme highlighting the culture and tradition of Kerala in the form of a dance drama which passed on the message of national integration and cultural diversity to the audience. The traditional Kaikottokkali, mohiniattam and a mashupkerala group singing with a few stage performances of the king mahabaliwere also part of the programme. The women staff and students in the traditional attire of Kerala saree respectively. The principal and other staff members too witnessed the programme. The programme ended up with the principal’s address by congratulating the fine arts committee members along with a few photoshoots.

The council had organized and taken up the whole Program, Performance also helped the Performers on stage and off-stage. The program has got over by 7:00 PM on the first day following that the council had welcomed the team the Next day and organized for the Exit Meeting.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has visited the college campus on the above-mentioned days. The student council has welcomed the members of the NAAC peer team with a flower bouquet and guided them to the principal’s room. The student council has taken initiatives, with active participation in organizing and monitoring the events scheduled during the peer team visit. The NAAC Team visited the council room where the councils have explained all the programs & events they have conducted so far. Also showcased all the reports of the past five year batches Following that the council has arranged for the students satisfactory survey arranged the students and helped others co-ordinators and technical staffs in their work.

STUDENT COUNCIL'S MEET WITH THE LIBRARIAN

The Student Council met with the Librarian of our college Dr. SumukiPadmanabhan. Exchange of ideas took place between the Council and the librarian. She requested the Council to put forth suggestions to create awareness among the students about the Wall of knowledge in our library where students are exposed to a wide variety of books which they can make use of. She also addressed the Newspaper Reading campaign that is yet to take place in our college to create awareness among the public and the students about the importance of reading. She suggested that it can be carried out around August on account of The National Librarian's Day which is on August 12. The Council gave a lot of ideas to improve the book bank of the library by handing out pamphlets to students and by creating posters to encourage them to donate books.
MADRAS DAY REPORT

From a humble birth as one of the earliest settlements of the British in the 1700s, Madras has grown into a vibrant city retaining cultural landings as it celebrates its 380THfounding day. Celebrating this occasion, Chevalier T Thomas Elizabeth College for Women organized a programme and the students formed an ‘M’ Shaped logo to express a tribute to the idea of Madras Day as it was born when a group of Madras lovers got together a few years ago to celebrate the city, its history, traditions and culture. Cute students have actively participated in the programme in a dress code of sarees following up the tradition of our state and culture.
The CTTE Student Council has conducted a PowerPoint presentation competition in the theme of MADRAS TO CHENNAI to provide a great platform for the students to enhance their, presentation, research, content and technical skills used in a right way to expand their knowledge on the history, culture, scope, importance, facts and information’s of their dwelling city madras not only for the participants but also for the audience with an enlightening presentation with twenty Participants from various departments and the event was graced by the dean of students Mrs Beena Thomas and dean of research Dr S Sridevi. Both the Dean’s have reviewed the day’s programme and addressed the students with their valuable opinions. This event was made possible with the efforts of the faculty members, Student council and the students.
KALAKIRAN & CHAINIKA
Date: 16th & 17th August 2019
The intra-collegiate cultural festival called Kalakiran was celebrated on 16.08.2019. The students used the great opportunity and exhibited their talents in various fields like singing, dancing, mime, and various on-stage events as well as off-stage events. YaarKanan inaugurated the ceremony and Noteworthy celebrities like Vickranth, Kana movie fame, Darshan also graced the occasion. The overall trophy was won by the department of B.Com General, the runner up was B.Com A&F followed up by BCA.
The inter-collegiate cultural festival called Chainika was conducted on 17.08.2019. Students from around 46 colleges despite the heavy rains participated in the on-stage and off-stage events enthusiastically. The Student Council along with the Cultural Coordinators worked as a team to run the show. With their combined efforts along with the faculty members, the event was a great success. MOP college for women and the runner-up was Loyola College.

On the occasion of “HUMAN RIGHTS DAY”, the student council organized a guest lecture on “Human rights” & “Violation against Human rights” for all second-year UG students. The guest addressed the key issues of violation of Human activities quoting Priyanka reddy’s murder case from the rapist's family’s perspective. He also explained and made awareness on the loss favors awareness on the loss favors for an Indian women. Following that students had an interactive session with the guest of the day.

Our college had organized an event for introducing the Student Council of the academic year 2019-2020.
The program commenced with our Principal addressing the second year and final year students on how to behave with the freshers who will be entering our college the next day is the 20.06.2019.
The Principal insisted the students not indulge in any form of ragging or bullying. She gave the students a few instructions on how to be more welcoming and not be displeasing towards the first years. She encouraged the students to focus on their studies and not to engage themselves in disgraceful activities.
Following that was the introduction of the Student Council for the year 2019-2020. The President of our college G.Keren Josaandra, The Vice Presidents, J.Subashini, and B.Bharathi along with their fellow Council Members of respective departments addressed the students and expressed their gratitude towards The Principal, The Dean, and the faculty members.
The students were very much excited and welcomed their new Student Council with utmost enthusiasm.

Our Principal Dr.Hanifa Ghosh welcomed the chief guest Mr.M.A Shamsudeen, Earthquake Scientist and also a dear friend of Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam and handed him a memento as a token of gratitude. She also welcomed Dr.E.Syed.Mohammed, Assistant professor, Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, and Dr.Basheer Bash, Classical acupuncture therapist.
Latter the welcoming, a documentary on our chief guest Mr.M.A Shamsudeen was displayed. The documentary comprised of all the accomplishments of Mr.M.A.Shamsudeen and many interviews of him explaining prevention measures for earthquakes.
Furthering Dr.E.Syed Mohammed commenced the session by briefly talking about the Evolution of mankind, Adam and Eve's narrative, and elaborated on how Science was relevant even back in the ancient days. He also discussed a lot of scientists like Thomas Alva Edison, Graham Bell, Sir C.V.Raman etcetera. He then described our chief guest Mr.M.A Shamsudeen and handed over the session to him.
Mr.M.A. Shamsudeen took over the session by elaborating on what provoked his research on earthquake stopping unit. He shared his life event that when he was 10 years old his mother asked him to look after the urad dal that she had left in the sun to dry. The urad dal started bursting like the sun rays penetrate them. This event gave him the idea of what can be done to prevent Earthquakes. He interacted with the students cordially and answered the questions patiently and distinctly. He spoke about his experience and how he did all his research single-handedly with his own money and that he would work in the day for money and would do his research at night. He even advised the students to study well and to be self-protective. He winded up the session by answering a student’s questions regarding the most disastrous Earthquake in the history of mankind.

On the above-mentioned days the final year students from various Departments are selected based on election, students support, Nominated under their achievements (Academics, Attendance and the positions they held from the day of joining). On 13th June 2019, the selected students from each department have attended a one-to-one interview with the panel of Senior Faculties of The campus who have been tremendously working for the welfare of the college and the students. The panel in the interview had raised questions on the efficient working capability of the nominated students also considering the bio-data that embodies their leadership skills, responsibilities taken from their schoolings till 2nd year of their UG.
The panel expected the nominees to know everything about the college starting from its history, infrastructure, motto, rules and regulations, senior faculties, vision, and mission of the institution. Following that the second day of the interview had shortlisted 4 nominees to select the president and the vice-presidents of the college with a few more questions and other respective skills.
MOTIVATIONAL TALK
The session started as our Principal Dr.Hanifa Ghosh welcomed our guest speaker Mr.Jaipaul Papabathini, Co-founder and President of Rescuing Lives Organisation, followed by the brief introduction of him given by the college President Ms.G.Keren Josandra. Our Correspondent Thiru L.Palamalai shared a few words and felicitated the guest speaker for his generous donation to the Maryland Library. Latter, Mr.Jaipaul Papabathini took over the session in an enthralling manner. He spoke about women's empowerment in a very lively way.
He emphasized three M's that everyone should adapt

• Don't manage too many.
He also shared his schooling experience and expressed how proud he was to be an alumnus of St.Mary's school. He imparted to the students how much of an important role our teachers play in our lives. He also spoke about the teacher he admired the most Mrs.Linda Janet who was also present and graced the occasion. She shared a few words about the guest speaker, appreciating his humbleness. She also advised the students and wished them well for their future. The session came to an end as the college Vice President Ms.B.Bharathi gave away the vote of thanks.
CAROL SERVICE

As the festive season approached, The Council along with the choir members carried out a Carol service by the nearby premises of our college. The enthusiastic bunch went about the streets visiting each home and singing songs, reciting Bible verses to spread the joy of Christmas. The people were very excited to see the Santa Claus and choir girls and happily invited them to their houses and enjoyed the carols. Later the carols were carried out even inside the college campus. Santa and the girls went to every class sang songs and distributed candies as well.

On account of Gandhi Jayanti, a parade on cleanliness took place accentuating UnnatBharathAbhiyan which is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an inclusive India. The student community actively participated and chanted for swachhbharat. Students put up a street play on Clean India creating awareness among the student body of our college. Artistic paintings and meaningful quotes were contributed by the students of all departments.

The guest lecture started off as the Dean of Students Mrs. Beena Thomas invited the speaker of the event Mr.G.Parthiban coordinator, SAFI NGO. He took away the session in an interactive way and discussed a lot of his personal experiences of overcoming his disabilities in this competitive world. He elaborated on the difficulties faced by a normal man let alone a disabled man like him. He also gave the students a glimpse of his personal life and the hardships he has to face on a daily basis to create awareness among the youth.
