The lecture was organized with the intention to provide students with the true facts about the ongoing war between Russia Vs Ukraine and make them understand the impacts and realize the effects of the war. The day began with the introduction by Ms. Nishi Priya, Vice President of the College on the war between Russia and Ukraine. Our college President Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari delivered the welcome address. The guest speaker for the day was Thiru. R. S. Gopalan I.A.S , Deputy Director General, UIDAI, Government of India. He was accompanied by our Correspondent Thiru. L . Palamalai IAS (Retd.). He delivered to us the facts of the war between Russia and Ukraine which were informative to the students. The history of Russia an Ukraine was told in a simple and comprehensible manner. A lot of knowledge about the history of the countries at war and the main reason for the war was revealed. The true facts of World War I and World War II was shared. What the internet and the media could not provide was delivered through the speech of Thiru. Gopalan. He advised that students should not believe everything the Internet and media says but to research for the hidden truths. He concluded by stating that like Russia and Ukraine, China would capture Australia in another 100 years. This lecture was followed by a short question and answer session to which Thriu. Gopalan answered lucidly. His answers were very detailed which added on to the facts told by him. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Famidha. The national anthem was sung by Ms. Bhavani and the lecture came to an end.
Outcome:
By attending this lecture on Russia Vs. Ukraine the students were able to take home facts and truths about the current situation and also the history of these great countries.
The 35th College day was conducted on April 19, 2022. The Chief Guest of the event was Mrs. Priya Rajan, Worshipful Mayor of the Greater Chennai Corporation. The Mayor was welcomed by the St. Mary's Band. The Program was hosted by Ms. Nishi Priya, Vice President. The Welcome address was rendered by Mrs. Mercy Silvester, Dean of Students. The Presidential address was delivered by the Correspondent followed by the College Report read by the Principal. The students were then addressed by our Mayor who shared her anecdotes. The Prizes were distributed and the program ended with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari, President.

Aim: The Atrangi fest was organized to provide a platform for the students to destress themself post-pandemic. This fest focused to provide the students with exuberance and exposure to help them express their talents. This intercollegiate event also focused on building comradeship and the spirit of competitiveness amongst students in a positive way.
Inauguration: The Inauguration of the Program was scheduled at 10.00am with the gracious presence of the Chief Guests Mr. Arun & Mr. Aravind, Casting Directors and Ms. Nandhini Aravindan, Actress and Anchor, Principal, Vice Principal, Dean of Students and the entire Student Council. The role of the Master of Ceremony for Atrangi Fiesta 2022 was assigned to Ms. Famidha. The Program started with the Tamil Thai Vazthu sung by Ms. Bhavani followed by a Prayer Song by the College Choir. The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari after which the guests were presented with bouquets as a token of love and appreciation. Mr Arun and Aravind were later invited to share their experiences followed by Ms. Nandhini Aravindan. The Inauguration ceremony turned more jubilant after Principal Madam addressed the gathering and motivated women to become strong and visionary leaders in the future. The Vote of Thanks, in the end, was proposed by Ms. Nishi Priya.
Overview of the Events:
Series Marathon - The Competition measured the retention capacity and the attentiveness of the students. Since the competition was a team event, it helped students build good rapport and good intrapersonal relationships. The event provided an opportunity for the teams to interact with students from the other colleges and share their enthusiasm for the series.
Shipwreck - This Competition brought out various talents and gave students an opportunity to sharpen their on-the-spot thinking. It also enhanced their creativity and logical thinking. The participants got an opportunity to interact with the chief guest Anchor Nandhini, and learn techniques on how to present themselves.
Fame in a Minute - The Competition brought out many distinctive talents amongst the students like beatboxing and silambam. It also gave them an opportunity to boost their self confidence and esteem. Their talents were well appreciated by the judges, Mrs. Alima and Ms. Smrithi. Exceptional performances like mono-act, Nattupura dance were appreciated by the judges and the students.
Campaign in Campus - Public Speaking! - The students were presented with various trending topics in the world that made them socially aware. It promoted student activism. The students felt their opinions were worthy enough to be heard. Students gave intensive ideas on how to solve certain issues. Their approach was solution oriented.
Shutter Up - Photography Contest (Online) - Many students took part in the competition and displayed great levels of photography skills. The pictures were aesthetically pleasing. Many students used multiple editing software that displayed their skills and in-depth knowledge of this particular industry.
Reels in Reality - Reel Making (Online) - This competition fostered the creativity of the students in the social media domain. The participants used various tools like sound effects, background and mimicking to make the reel more attractive. Most of the reels displayed the participants sense of humour and creativity.
Padatha Pudi Cup ah Adi - Reel Making (Online) - This competition gave students an opportunity to bring short stories and present it in the most creative ways. The students used various editing tools in the video that displayed a great amount of professionalism.
Terribly Tiny Tales - Short Story Writing (Offline) - This particular competition had the highest entries amongst all other competitions. This competition challenged the writing skills of students by presenting their creative works in lesser words but with deeper insights.
Doodle art - The doodle art competition served as a stress buster for most of the participants. They used art to channelise their inner creativity and display it via art. The theme was kept open and it helped students to let their emotions flow on the paper.
Valedictory: The Valedictory ceremony was held in the presence of the Chief Guest Mrs. Subashri from Thunai and the Dean of Students with all the intercollegiate participants eagerly awaiting the distribution of prizes. The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Famidha. The Welcome Address for the valedictory was delivered by Ms Nishi Priya. The Chief Guest delivered an enlightening note on the importance of mental health amongst young people and gave the students a brief introduction about Thunai organization. The prize distribution ceremony was then conducted to honor the winners of the various competitions held. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari. The Program ended with the National Anthem.

The Student Council along with the Department of Psychology went on a field trip to Mithra Rehabilitation Center. The Council members entertained and served the special students with interesting activities and some refreshments. One of the Council members Bhavani sang a beautiful song which attracted the attention of all the students. Other Council members spent their time taking care of the special students.

The Student Council 2021-2022 conducted a Panel Discussion on the the topic #StopTheBeautyTest inspired from the campaign by Dove's. The moderator of the panel was Mrs. Suchitra Nandhakumar, Head CRM Expo Frieght Ltd. The panelists were trained by the Student Council as all the panelists were taking part in the panel for the first time. The discussion started with the panelists putting forth their views on the topic and the moderator giving her opinions on them. Our Principal Dr. S. Sridevi and Dean of Students Mrs. Mercy Silvester attended the Session. First year students from the Department of Corporate Secretaryship and all the class representatives were invited as audience. The panel ended with the moderators words "The beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder". The Dean of Students shared her opinion on the panel at the end.

Sports Day of the academic year 2021-2022 was held on March 11, 2022 at 9 am in our college premises. The Guest of honour was Mr. Thiruvalar Selvan, District Inspector of Physical Education. The Managing Trustee & Correspondent Thiru. L. Palamalai I.A.S officer (Retd), Principal Dr S. Sri Devi and Vice-Principal Dr R. Meenakshi along with the faculty members and students were present. The Welcome address was rendered by Principal Dr S. Sridevi. A Memento was presented to the Chief Guest by our Principal. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and hoisted the flag. The March Past was majestically completed by our college students which was led by Ms. Tejaswini, Sports Secretary and followed by the Student Council President, Vice President and the St. Marian band. The event ended with a Vote of thanks which was proposed by Ms. Jeevitha, Sports Secretary. The entire event was hosted and maintained in a disciplined manner by the Student Council.

The Student Council took the initiative of coordinating with the organizer under the guidance of the Dean of Students. The Vice Principal Dr R. Meenakshi felicitated the Resource Person Ms. Beulah Ebenezer who is running a Fashion Designing Institute at Periyar Nagar. The Workshop was conducted for three days. More than 50 students actively participated and learned how to do embroidery works. Ms. Ruth Robert and Ms. Divya Priya made all the arrangements for the workshop.

On account of the 12th National Voters Day, the Student Council initiated an oath taking ceremony to cherish and mark the strength of our longstanding democracy. The session was hosted by Famidha. U and Sneha Sajeev. E presented a short speech to highlight the importance of Voters rights. The Session ended with the Voters day Pledge dictated by Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari. A total of 79 students joined this initiative and collectively took the Pledge.

The Student Council along with the Junior Student Council celebrated Christmas in the morning assembly on December 21, 2021. Ms. Nishi Priya hosted the celebration. The Junior Student Council member Ms. Dharshini delivered a speech about Christmas and wished everyone Merry Christmas! and a Happy New Year! The Council members performed Christmas Carols. There was a dance performed by the Council members which entertained all the students in the campus. The celebration came to an end with the entry of our Santa Clause wishing the Principal and the students.

The leadership Training Program was conducted for the leadership skill enhancement of the Council and Junior Council members (2021-2022). The Programme was hosted by Ms. Sneha Sajeev, Council Member of the English Department. The Programme started with a prayer song. The Session had a high interactive and awakening explanations about various leadership qualities. Skill based activities were conducted which were entertaining and beneficial. The Student Council organized a Badge Pinning Ceremony for the Student Leaders on December 04, 2021, on the Lawn by 8.50 am. The event was hosted by Ms Bhavani, Council Member of the BCA Department. The event started with a Prayer Song by the College Choir. Ms Bhavani invited the Principal to pin the badges and called out the names one after the other. The Student Leaders were all dressed in Red and received their badges with bright smiles on their faces. The Event Management Club assisted the Student Council to organize the Event and the Photography Club covered the entire event. After receiving the badges all the student leaders took a group picture with the Principal and Dean of Students. The event went on smoothly and all the COVID protocols were strictly followed throughout the Event.

The Bank Exam Coaching of CTTE College organized an Orientation Program on Bank Exams to all the second and third year students on December 04, 2021 in the JJK Auditorium at 10.30 am. Around 180 Students attended the Program. The Program started with a Prayer Song by the Choir. The Program was hosted by Ms. Nishi Priya, the Vice President of Student Council. Mrs. J. Kauser, Coordinator of Bank Exam Coaching welcomed the gathering. Our Managing Trustee and Correspondent Thiru L. Palamalai, IAS (Retd.) felicitated the Guest Speaker and then the session was taken over by Mr. N. Kalyanaraman, Ex- Manager, State of India. He gave the students a complete picture about Banking as a Profession. He spoke how comfortably the Banking Sector was working even during the pandemic period. He also spoke about the basic pay the students will get if they crack the Bank Exams. He explained in detail about the areas of study to crack a Bank Exam. He insisted that it is not a big deal to crack any Exam if we practise constantly. He enlightened the students on how to prepare for the Bank Exam and also shared some useful shortcuts for their preparation. The Program came to an end with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari K, the President of Student Council.

The participants were called out one after the other and they presented what they had prepared confidently. After that, there was a discussion in which both the participants and the audience were asked to contribute. The Session was moderated by Famidha where she posed a few general questions based on our Indian Constitution and the audience enthusiastically shared their views and opinions on it.
Mrs Beena Thomas, Head Department of English, appreciated the Student Council for the initiative and also shared her insights on the questions and encouraged the students to read more about the Constitutional Laws and how they came into practice and asked everyone to research the history behind it. Ceremony started with a Prayer song, Bible reading and Prayer by the students of St. Mary’s Girls Higher Secondary School, Perambur. Ms. K. Raja Kaleeshwari, Student Council President of CTTE College(2021-2022), welcomed the gathering. The Principal of CTTE college Dr. S. Sridevi felicitated the guests and spoke about the need for perseverance towards the goal. Ms.P. Galilone Anandhi, Library Coordinator, CTTE College hosted the ceremony and proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The Student Council took an initiative of assembling a Student Editorial team for the academic year 2021-22. The students were sent with a poster through mail on 1st November stating the eligibility and descriptions of the Student Editorial team after getting approval from the Dean of Students, Vice Principal and the Principal and were asked to register with their respective Student Council Members. Since we received a total of 21 entries, a screening round was conducted on 10th of November. The Entries were screened based on the drafts they submitted on their view of the ‘Prevalent condition of Chennai due to Rain and its impact’. Their presentation, vocabulary and creative skills were judged and a total of five students were shortlisted. The drafts of the shortlisted entries were sent to Dr. B.V. Saraswathy from the Department of English for selection. All the five entries were selected after thoroughly analysing their work. The selected students will be officially in charge of writing reports of the college activities, articles on the prevalent situation and editing various reports systematically.

The Student Council welcomed the first years with tremendous amount of enthusiasm and exuberance. The Welcome speech was delivered by Nishi Priya, Vice President. The newbies were excited on witnessing a flash mob performance by the final year students. In order to make their first day even more memorable, the Council planned a small write up competition for the freshers and asked them to describe how their first day in College felt. The winners of the competition were awarded and later given a position to offer their writing for the official College website. The Council members took charge of orienting the freshers of their respective Departments.

The Investiture ceremony was organised to formally induct the office-bearers of the year 2021-22. The event started with a prayer song sung by the choir, followed by TamilThai Vazhthu and lightning of the lamp. The Welcome address was delivered by the Principal. The Correspondent addressed the Council members. Badges were presented to the Council members followed by the oath-taking ceremony. The Ceremony ended with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the newly elected Student Council President. The Heads of various Departments and the other Student Leaders like the Junior Student Council members and the Club Leaders were also a part of the Ceremony. The Dean of Students introduced the Student Council Logo and motto designed and framed by the Student Council President Ms. Raja Kaleeshwari.

The JAM competition was conducted by the Student Council to provide students with a platform to sharpen their oratory skills. 17 students from the various departments took part. The virtual JAM competition consisted of two rounds. In the first round photos and in the second round videos-themed on Madras were displayed. The competition was judged by Dr.K.Fahamida Begum and Dr B.V.Saraswathy from the Department of English. The first, second and third position in the competition was awarded to Sneha.S of II Bcom A&F, Yuvashree of III B.Sc Chemistry and Kaviya of III B.Com G(A).

The Student Council greeted all the teachers with roses as a gesture of appreciation in the morning, followed by the Council welcoming them with a song to the general assembly. A special poem dedicated to the teachers was read by the Vice President of the Student Council. As a gesture of gratitude, the Student Council delivered handmade cards and chocolates to all the Teachers followed by a Group photo. The Student Council also prepared a special video on the occasion of Teachers' Day.
The Student Council took the initiative of coordinating with the organizers of the Corporation and executed the Free Vaccination Camp safely. Verbal and Social Media Campaigns were launched emphasizing the importance of getting vaccinated. The Council ensured that social distancing was maintained throughout as more than 500 people turned up to get vaccinated over the course of time. The Council also coordinated with the volunteers of NSS and conducted physical campaigns to create Public awareness. The Council took charge of collecting documented proof which included signed letters from H.O.D’s and the signature of students getting vaccinated. The Council took charge of arranging refreshments for the Camp organizers.
